Letter of appreciation to the Polish IT industry

It is during the darkest moments that we discover the true strength and light in others. Ukraine and Poland have a long-standing relationship based on partnership and respect. Since the beginning of russia’s full-scale war, the bond between our countries has become even stronger. More than 25,000 Ukrainian IT specialists — mostly women, along with their children and relatives — have now fled to Poland, where they have been welcomed and supported like friends. This has given them a chance to continue their work for the sake of Ukraine, its armed forces, and all victims of the russian invasion. We have also heard hundreds of stories about Polish IT companies and individual specialists who have become volunteers, made donations, sent humanitarian aid to Ukraine, and helped refugees get adjusted to a new country. This is a tremendous contribution to our mutual victory.

As president of the IT Ukraine Association, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the Polish IT industry, specialized associations, and clusters. Ukrainian IT businesses appreciate your support. With your welcoming attitude and enabling business environment, dozens of Ukrainian IT companies have decided to open new engineering centers in Poland and accelerate the development of existing offices. These companies are actively hiring both Ukrainian and Polish IT specialists. I’m convinced that these actions will encourage the growth of local IT communities in Poland and enhance our cooperation. In this modern digital world, the IT industry is the best platform where the synergy between our countries can thrive. We look forward to working with Polish tech companies, offering educational opportunities, sharing expertise, and creating new workplaces. We are living in times of change. This is our chance to build a better future for the whole Eastern European region. Let’s develop next-gen technologies; let’s build workplaces where everyone is treated equally; let’s work on projects that take corporate social responsibility seriously. Together, Ukraine and Poland can create one of the world’s best IT hubs, with top-of-the-line expertise, innovations, and service quality. Together, we will win!
