IT industry paid over UAH 31.6 billion in taxes in H1 2026

Ukraine’s IT industry continues to increase its contribution to the state budget. According to the State Tax Service, in the first half of 2026 the IT business paid UAH 31.64 billion in taxes – UAH 6.23 billion more than in the same period of 2025 (UAH 25.40 billion). The largest share of revenue is traditionally generated by the “Computer Programming” economic activity classification (KVED).

Broken down by type of economic activity, the State Tax Service data shows the following picture:

  • “Computer Programming” – the main driver of revenue: payments grew from UAH 16.79 billion in January–June 2025 to UAH 21.08 billion in the same period of 2026;
  • “Data Processing, Hosting and Related Activities” – the second-largest category: growth from UAH 3.93 billion to UAH 4.85 billion;
  • “Information Technology Consultancy” – an increase from UAH 2.94 billion to UAH 3.50 billion;
  • “Other Information Technology and Computer Service Activities” – from UAH 0.97 billion to UAH 1.13 billion;
  • “Publishing of Other Software” – from UAH 0.43 billion to UAH 0.55 billion;
  • “Publishing of Computer Games” and “Computer Facilities Management Activities” showed the smallest but still notable increases – from UAH 0.09 billion to UAH 0.13 billion, and from UAH 0.25 billion to UAH 0.38 billion, respectively.

The stability of tax revenues from the IT industry confirms the sector’s ability to keep operating despite the pressure of the full-scale war and economic instability. This is the result of companies’ day-to-day work: flexible business models, a reputation as reliable partners in international markets, and the support provided by the Diia.City regime. At the same time, the industry continues to advocate for better conditions for development, including greater predictability of tax policy,

adds Maria Shevchuk, Executive Director of IT Ukraine Association.
