TechStep Sweden — First Stage Results — Ukraine at Stockholm Tech Show 2025

TechStep Sweden is a comprehensive program launched in January 2025 by Open Trade Gate Sweden together with the Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office and the IT Ukraine Association. The program aims to accelerate the entry of Ukrainian IT companies into the Swedish market.

 

 

The program includes 15 Ukrainian IT companies: Devlight, Gart Solutions, Lionwood Software, The Gradient, Acropolium, CIGen, Geniusee, DATAMIX, SoloWay Technologies, Prozori Solutions, PettersonApps, FS Group Development, Integrity Vision, Propell Minds Ukraine, VRNET.IO. 

 

 

During the first stage, “Get to Know the Market”, from January to March, the participating companies engaged in:

 

• A series of workshops “Overview of the Swedish Market” — participants learned more about the current state of the market, opportunities and challenges.
• Preparation of individual export plans — practical work on strategies for entering the Swedish market.
• Preparation for offline events — how to effectively present oneself at international events.

 

 

Thanks to the workshops, the participants of the TechStep Sweden programme gained foundational knowledge about the Swedish market, developed individual export plans, and prepared for one of the largest and most significant innovation events in the Nordic region — TechArena.

 

 

Visit to Sweden: TechArena 2025

 

On February 20-21, 2025, the Ukrainian delegation visited Stockholm for TechArena 2025 — one of the largest events in the region, which gathered over 12,000 leaders, founders, and investors.

 

 

The visit programme included:

 

• Workshops and networking sessions;
• Business visits and participation in TechArena 2025;
• A side event, featuring officials from Sweden and business representatives fromUkraine, and Moldova;
• Introduction to Sweden’s innovation ecosystem.

 

Next Stage: Strategic Planning

 

After the offline visit, participants moved on to develop individual strategies for entering the Swedish market. This stage was implemented with the support of Swedish consultants through coaching sessions, which provided systematic support and expertise.

 

Collective Stand of Ukraine at Stockholm Tech Show 2025

 

In just two weeks, on May 14–15, 2025, the 15 Ukrainian IT companies will showcase their products and services at the Stockholm Tech Show 2025 — the leading technology exhibition in Northern Europe (Stand No. I:26, KISTAMÄSSAN, Stockholm).

 

What awaits the participants?

 

• Networking opportunities — meetings with partners, idea exchange.
• Sales masterclass — practical skills for communicating with clients.
• 2 days of active work at the exhibition — B2B meetings and network expansion: new clients, investors and partners.

 

The TechStep Sweden programme is organised by Open Trade Gate Sweden* and the State Institution “Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office,” the national project “Diia.Business” together with the IT Ukraine Association.
