The IT Ukraine Association exists to represent the interests of the tech industry at the state level, support and protect professionals in the field and ensure their rights and development opportunities. Its task is to create favorable conditions for the development of the IT sector through effective communication with the government, legislative bodies and other key stakeholders,
— emphasized Maria Shevchuk, Executive Director of the IT Ukraine Association.
The technology sector is cross-sectoral — from AgriTech to FinTech — and the Association is a catalyst for change that contributes to the long-term development of Ukrainian business. In particular, ITU is the initiator and organizer of a number of industry committees and working groups by industry directions, which ensure the consideration of various stakeholders’ interests, as well as strategic developments for the industry as a whole.
Furthermore, the Association has already demonstrated its ability to adapt to changes, challenging conditions, cataclysms and challenges. We survived the COVID-19 pandemic and economic difficulties, continuing to fulfill our role and helping the industry withstand these challenges.
For the business sector. it is important that the state supports a favorable legislative environment, simplifies relocation and personnel recruitment procedures, promotes the development of digitalization in regions, eases the operation of business in the IT sphere, and supports projects that contribute to the development of national cybersecurity and DefenceTech.
The recently introduced Hostile Software (‘Vorozhyi Software’) project has had an active several years, being focused on supporting Ukraine’s large-scale transition from russian software to secure and modern software solutions, as well as promoting domestic developments.
