The War in Ukraine acutely raised the issue of global security and effective technological development in conditions of constant threat. National and cyber security, in particular in the social and banking spheres, is an urgent challenge not only for Ukraine, but also for neighboring countries, in particular for Poland. At a time when Ukraine is rapidly getting experience in resisting not only military aggression, but also cyber-attacks, Israel already has answers to these threats and an effective, tested model of economic development and advanced technologies in conditions of war.

On December 14, 2022, Warsaw will host UIIS2022.Warsaw – a Polish-Ukrainian-Israeli technology summit, which will become a tripartite platform for dialogue and exchange of expert opinions on the long-term strategy for a safe country development based on Israel’s high-tech experience. The summit in Warsaw is a sort of bridge for the three states, a platform where technologies and experiences are combined to achieve the security and economic development balance in Eastern Europe.

Key topics of the conference:

  • NATIONAL SECURITY. How Ukraine can become a “great Israel” with its own face: implementation of the Israeli experienced strategy forming a “safe country”;
  • SOCIALTECH. Shaping the Future: Exploring Technology Strategic Trends in the High Risk Era;
  • CYBERTECH. Technologies at the forefront: How cyber technologies are changing the landscape of today’s world;
  • VENTURE. Unprecedented information from the world of venture capital: the main technical trends for 2022 and beyond;
  • TALENT. Long-term dividends of the future: the role of technological talents in building an innovation ecosystem.

The National “IT Ukraine” Association, which unites the interests of business, the government and international partners for the development of the technological sector and the formation of a new high-tech economy in Ukraine, supported this large-scale international event and became an innovative partner of the summit.

oday, the Ukrainian technological industry is the only export sector of the economy that is growing and has the potential to become a driver of the country’s reconstruction based on digitization and the introduction of advanced technologies. In the conditions of the War, companies have acquired their own experience of crisis management, and doing business in a new environment and with other risks accounted for. And we are ready to share with expertise and insights with the global market,
— - Konstantin Vasyuk, the Executive Director of the Association, stressed.
UIIS2022 will bring together representatives of the public sector, international corporations, technology startups, venture funds, high-tech engineers and technology influencers from Poland, Ukraine and Israel with the aim of strengthening cooperation between countries in the High Risk Era and creating new opportunities for business. The event will be held with the support of the Embassy of the State of Israel in Ukraine.
We chose Warsaw as the venue for the summit, as today it is a fast-growing technology hub for European IT specialists, as well as a “place of strength” for many Ukrainian technology companies after their forced relocation. — Alyona Novgorodska, the Founder of the Summit, CEO of the Global Israeli Initiative, tells. — In addition, representatives of Polish municipalities have a great interest in the implementation of national digitalization projects in the field of safe cities and clusters based on the technological experience of Israel. By holding the summit, we create a good opportunity for international dialogue.
The conference is in an offline format with an online broadcast. The summit will be held at the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Detailed information on the participation conditions are on the conference website: https://uiisummit.com/tickets. All funds transferred for online participation will be sent to the “Antitila” Charity Fund to help affected Ukrainian families. Organizers of the Summit: Global Israeli Initiative, the Embassy of the State of Israel in Ukraine, WorkNest, VentureIsrael, VIZHU, Etgar Strategic Solutions and Entrepreneurship. UIIS2022.Warsaw is the successor of the Ukrainian-Israeli Innovation Summit (UIIS), which has been successfully held in Kyiv since 2018. During the 4 years of the Summit, the event has become an effective platform for establishing business ties and strategic partnerships for more than 7,000 Ukrainian and Israeli entrepreneurs, representatives of technological business, government and education to exchange experiences, best practices and strengthen cooperation between the two countries. Here are some numbers that show what results have been achieved:
  • 50+ technological companies in Ukraine found new clients in Israel;
  • 30+ Israeli startups opened offices in Ukraine;
  • 250+ Israeli companies and 1000+ businessmen visited Ukraine.
In 2021, the trade turnover between Ukraine and Israel increased by 34% and reached $1.37 billion, $259 million of which is the export of IT services to Israel, most of which is outsourcing.  In particular, this success was achieved thanks to UIIS. The Ukrainian-Israeli Innovation Summit (UIIS) is a large-scale annual conference dedicated to the development of business, technological and diplomatic relations between Israel and Ukraine, which has been held with the support of the Embassy of Israel in Ukraine since 2018. Global Israeli Initiative (GII) is a non-profit public organization designed to create a powerful and innovative international ecosystem that promotes productive relations and cooperation between Ukraine and Israel: among businessmen, investors, governments, innovative companies and educational structures. The National “IT Ukraine” Association is the largest Ukrainian professional community that consolidates the interests of business, the state, and international partners for the development of the IT industry and the formation of a new high-tech economy in Ukraine. Together with the participating companies, IT clusters and partners, the Association defends the interests of business and promotes the brand of Ukraine as a leading technological nation. Today, the Association unites more than 120 key IT companies and 82,000 IT professionals.
