How to cross the Ukrainian border for Belarusian IT specialists

Protests continue in Belarus, and the IT business, which was partially or completely paralyzed due to Internet disruptions that began on August 9, is also at risk. Some companies began to consider options for relocating business indefinitely, and Ukraine became one of such countries.

Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers №757 from 27 August 2020 prohibited foreigners to travel to Ukraine, but there are exceptions. Restrictions on entry to Ukraine came into force from 00:00 on August 28 to 00:00 on September 28. The Association “IT Ukraine” in partnership with the company “ALCOR” has prepared detailed instructions for IT specialists who are going to come to Ukraine from Belarus in the near future.

The instruction contains:

  • a detailed list of categories of foreigners who may cross the border of Ukraine according to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers №757;
  • step-by-step algorithm of actions required for border crossing;
  • invitation letter template from the employer company.
The instructions are prepared in two languages, you can separately download the template of the invitation letter from the employer in Ukraine, which you will need to show when crossing the border.
