Accounting, Hostile Software and Cybersecurity: ITU on Digitalisation for Business in Bila Tserkva

A Business Summit for owners and managers of enterprises in the manufacturing and service sectors took place in Bila Tserkva, dedicated to the development, security, and transformation of Ukrainian business. The IT Ukraine Association, together with participating companies, was the event partner and prepared a thematic block on the digitalisation of business — a key factor for the sustainability and efficiency of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the context of war, constant cyber threats, and economic instability.

 

Speakers emphasised that digitalisation for SMEs today is not just a matter of convenience or competitive advantage. It is about security, independence from enemy software, process efficiency, and the ability of businesses to operate continuously even in the face of increased risks.

 

Marta Kindrys, Director of the Advocacy and Development Centre for the IT Industry at IT Ukraine Association, presented the risks of using enemy software, sanctions restrictions, available Ukrainian alternatives, and tools that help businesses safely select digital solutions.

 

The block featured ITU participants and partners:

• Roman Yavorsky, CCO of IT-Enterprise, presented reliable ERP solutions to replace the enemy’s 1C/BAS and shared practical experience transitioning from outdated solutions to modern Ukrainian ERP systems;
• Viktor Levandovsky, CEO of devels.ai, in his talk “The Evolution of Business Management: From Document Administration to Process Management,” explained how SME owners and managers can build business management through processes, improving flexibility and control of companies;
• Yevhenii Yehorov, Head of Cybersecurity at SHERIFF, focused on the topic of cybersecurity for SME resilience and outlined key cyber threats to SMEs and basic steps to secure businesses without significant financial costs.

 

Participants also discussed which business processes should be prioritised for digitalisation, whether digital transformation is possible without a large IT department, and common mistakes to avoid at the start. The final focus was on cybersecurity: current threats to SMEs, basic protection steps with minimal costs, and the role of employees in creating a resilient security system within a company.

 

The event was organised by the Municipal Enterprise “Strategic Development Agency of Bila Tserkva,” with support from the Bila Tserkva City Council.
