Welcoming the delegation in Kyiv, Olena Samborska emphasised the importance of such visits, thanked the representatives of the delegation for their support of Ukraine and underlined the interest of the Ukrainian IT industry in partnership with the US business. In particular, Olena Samborska noted that before the War, the United States of America had been in the TOP-3 partner countries of Ukraine for the export of IT services. In 2021, the volume of exports to the USA reached USD 2.73 million.

In addition to representatives of Utah’s leading technology companies, IT Ukraine was visited by Stuart Adams – President of the Utah State Senate; Miles Hansen – President and CEO of the World Trade Center in Utah, Jonathan Friedman – Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Utah; Aaron Starks – CEO of the Utah Aerospace and Defense Association; Adam Gardiner – Vice President of Government Affairs, Utah Aerospace and Defense Association.
Utah is considered a business-friendly state with a strong economy and skilled workforce. In particular, Utah is the second in the Forbes Best States for Business List with strong labour supply, regulatory environment and economic climate. Currently, more than 4,200 companies with 68,000 employees work in the technological industry of the state.
The Utah business has strong capabilities in the aerospace and defence industry, including design, composites manufacturing, software and control systems, testing, repair and maintenance. The visit of the delegation was organised by the Consulate General of Ukraine in San Francisco in cooperation with the Members of the Parliament of Ukraine, the “World Trade Center Utah” business association.
