General Summer Meeting ITU Brings Together the Tech Community

General Summer Meeting ITU Brings Together the Tech Community

Publication date:

Publication from:

Last week we held our General Summer Meeting ITU, bringing together the Association’s members and partners together with their families, children, and even pets, turning the gathering into a genuine family celebration.

As is now tradition, the Association’s team reviewed the results of its work and shared key achievements from the first half of 2026. Guests were welcomed with inspiring remarks from the President of IT Ukraine Association and co-founder of SoftServe, Taras Kytsmey, Executive Director of IT Ukraine Association, Mariia Shevchuk and Head of Marketing at UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group, Mario Khomyn. During the event, we also welcomed the new members who joined the Association over the first half of the year.

First Half of 2026: Key Results

In the first half of 2026, IT Ukraine Association demonstrated substantial growth and scaled up its core areas of activity. The community welcomed 25 new member companies, and the team handled more than 2,000 individual member enquiries.

Advocacy remained one of the strongest areas of focus. During this period, the Association analysed 1,898 regulatory initiatives, provided 23 legal consultations, and ran 10 strategic webinars for more than 1,200 participants. A key milestone was the establishment of the Committee on Information Technology and Innovation under the Federation of Employers of Ukraine, strengthening the technology industry’s representation at the state level.

On the international stage, the Association organised collective stands at leading global exhibitions including Bett, VivaTech, and GITEX Europe. Over the first half of the year, member companies held more than 730 B2B meetings with international partners and prospective clients. The ambassador network expanded to 16 representatives across 11 countries, providing ongoing support for Ukrainian tech companies in key international markets.

Developing industry expertise remained a priority area. More than 100 industry representatives worked across five specialised committees — AI, CyberTech, AgriTech, FinTech, and EdTech — shaping joint solutions for the development of the tech sector.

The Association also drove strategic change by presenting the first comprehensive study of IT’s impact on Ukraine’s economy, “Code Economy,” alongside the Ukraine AI Industry Map, a mapping of the country’s artificial intelligence market. The “Hostile Software” project continues its systematic work to phase out Russian software, and the Tech360 conference once again brought Ukraine’s tech community together.

A Space for Connection and Partnership

This year, together with our partners, we created a space at the General Summer Meeting ITU for genuine conversation, relaxation, and quality networking. Adults had the chance to catch up with colleagues, share news, and enjoy a summer evening in a relaxed atmosphere, while a dedicated play zone with a range of activities kept children entertained throughout the event.

General Partner UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group — one of Ukraine’s largest banks — treated guests to ice cream and refreshments and set up an interactive family zone for children and adults alike.

The event was supported by AVTOKAPITAL, the official Mercedes-Benz distributor in Ukraine. EveryMatrix, an international technology company developing innovative solutions for the iGaming industry, also supported the event, as did Geniusee, a Ukrainian IT company specialising in software development and AI solutions. Discovery Village Kryla Karpaty by Edem — a mountain resort village near Bukovel that offers a modern take on classic Alpine village life in the Ukrainian Carpathians — also took part in organising the event.

Activities for the Whole Family

It was truly valuable to spend the day with our members and partners. We are grateful to the activity partners who made the event even richer and more engaging for all our guests.

Hiitworks ran a prize draw for fitness studio memberships, adding extra energy to the festive atmosphere. Robocode, an embedded programming school, held a SensoKit masterclass, “10 Mini-Projects for an Engineer,” along with interactive activities that let children experience being real-life inventors.

STEM school INVENTOR invited children to build with LEGO, explore robotics, and create their own projects. The IT Step team presented an interactive digital board introducing guests to modern technology solutions.

Family beauty space KIDO treated guests to stylish hairstyles, face painting, and lovely gifts for the whole family. At the Kvitkova Povnya creative corner, participants discovered a world of exotic plants, learned more about caring for them, and created their own floral arrangements.

MOVA craft brewery introduced guests to the modern culture of Ukrainian craft brewing and offered award-winning beers recognised internationally. All Travel Group invited guests on a symbolic business journey with a welcome cocktail in the Business Lounge. And the event’s main water partner, Morshynska — natural hydration and balance every day — kept guests refreshed and comfortable throughout the summer evening.

Brovko, a brand of natural pet treats, looked after our four-legged guests with natural snacks. The “Domivka” charity foundation presented its own merchandise, giving everyone the chance to support the foundation through donations and take home a keepsake.

Thank You for Joining Us

We would like to sincerely thank all our partners for supporting the event, and our guests for the warm atmosphere and for sharing this day with us. We firmly believe that gatherings like this help people find like-minded peers, exchange ideas, and build new partnerships.
