We welcome the adoption of sanctions that deprive Russian companies of access to modern IT products and services

The IT Ukraine Association, working within the framework of the Yermak-McFaul international sanctions group, was involved in the formation of sanctions that ultimately make it impossible for the further functioning of modern IT products and services on the territory of the russian federation and the development of modern technologies. All companies relying on American technologies are prohibited from providing IT support and supervisory services to companies and individuals on the territory of the invading country.

 

The purpose of these sanctions is to deprive Russia of the opportunity to use technologies, equipment and IT services originating from abroad,

the US Treasury notes.

 

In particular:

• Software and firmware in Russia will no longer receive system updates, including critical security patches and tech support for companies and enterprises. 
• All companies and individuals from russia’s territory will be denied access to the global cloud infrastructure. 
• The recall process for the currently active IT products and services will begin without the possibility of them being replaced by imports.
• All the remaining MilTech infrastructure will be directly cut off.

 

We celebrate the introduction of sanctions that will take effect in a few months! Working to protect the interests of Ukraine.
