Vidvazhna 3: Debut Programme Speaker Oleksii Shcherbatenko on Digital Entrepreneurship in 2025

Digitalisation today is not a future trend, but a fundamental prerequisite for business existence. Ukrainian companies are increasingly adopting technology to remain competitive, even during times of crisis.

This very topic was addressed in the lecture “Vidvazhna 3. The Digital Evolution of Business” by Oleksii Shcherbatenko, Co-owner of the IT-Enterprise group of companies, a leader in Industry 4.0, digital solutions for manufacturing, and innovative business solutions.

What are the main rules of digital entrepreneurship in 2025?

  1. Business without Technology is a Vulnerable Business

Crises clearly illustrate the strong correlation between technological solutions and success. Companies with insufficient levels of digitalisation are the first to face risks. Meanwhile, those businesses that actively invested in digital platforms and solutions during COVID-19 were able to strengthen their positions and become market leaders.

  2. Data is the New Business Currency

Today’s analytics is not merely an “Excel report,” but a deep understanding of customer behaviour, purchases, and feedback. Companies that can combine these three levels of data gain a full understanding of their business and stay ahead of the competition.

  3. AI is already cutting costs by 40%

The use of Artificial Intelligence has ceased to be exclusive to tech corporations. AI assistants for HR, finance, legal, technical maintenance, or training allow businesses to save resources and increase efficiency. However, every solution should be verified and adapted to real-world processes.

  4. A Digital-First Company Scales Faster

Traditional businesses rely on experience and intuition, whereas digital businesses rely on data and algorithms. This allows decisions to be made exponentially faster, new products to be introduced, and expansion into new markets to occur more quickly.

  5. Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) Receive the Same Opportunities as Corporations

Thanks to the democratisation of AI and the development of open-source solutions, the SMB segment gains world-class tools without needing multi-million-pound investments. This opens the way for rapid growth in both local and global markets.

The modern entrepreneur is not a person who does everything themselves, but a strategist who knows how to delegate tasks to technology and make data-driven decisions

stated Oleksii Shcherbatenko.

Digital transformation is not the future; it is the present. Businesses that invest today in data, AI, and process automation gain resilience during crises and open new horizons for growth.

The new season of the visionary women’s accelerator Vidvazhna 3. The Digital Evolution of Business is delivered by the Diia.Business network of entrepreneurship support centres in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office, with the support of UNDP in Ukraine and financial assistance from the Government of Japan under the project Transformational Recovery for Human Security in Ukraine, and within the framework of the global initiative She’s Next Empowered by Visa, in partnership with the IT Ukraine Association.
