As part of the “Practice” project, the non-governmental organization Veteran Hub has awarded the IT company Valtech Ukraine with the Veteran Friendly Award. This accolade recognizes companies that actively contribute to fostering a veteran-friendly employment culture and integrating veterans into the workforce.
Reintegrating veterans into civilian life is a crucial part of their adaptation process, and we proudly include them in our team, providing support and opportunities for professional development. Before the full-scale invasion, Valtech Ukraine had two veterans among its consultants. At the beginning of our collaboration with Veteran Hub, five were serving in the Armed Forces or other formations, and by the time the award was presented, the number had grown to ten,
the company representatives say.
To receive the award, Valtech Ukraine underwent monitoring and evaluation using the “Secret Client” method and confirmed the presence of four signs of a veteran-friendly company:
Valtech Ukraine’s policy on supporting veterans is part of our long-term strategy. We have many ambitious plans. We intend to expand medical insurance for veterans and create more inclusive spaces depending on landlord possibilities. We are already studying and analyzing various positions and service roles in the Armed Forces for a better understanding of veterans’ skills and experience. We aim to train our team on how to integrate veterans into the team and work together as effectively and sustainably as possible,
the company emphasizes.
