From May 26 to 31, 2025, representatives of leading Ukrainian IT companies undertook a business visit to the Republic of Korea aimed at strengthening international cooperation, seeking partners, and expanding opportunities for digital transformation.
The delegation included members of the IT Ukraine Association and the Ukrainian-Korean Business Council, as well as representatives from Devlight, Geniusee, 4real, N-iX. The visit program featured key meetings in Seoul and other cities focused on boosting collaboration in IT, research and development, digitalisation, investment attraction, and the advancement of technological exchange.
The visit started with a strategic meeting at the Embassy of Ukraine in Korea, where the trip plan was approved and priority directions for cooperation with Korean partners were identified. The delegation also met with ITOXI Corp., which actively contributed to organising key events and providing logistical support for the Ukrainian side.
During a meeting with KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency), a traditional Korean breakfast was held, followed by a strategic meeting organised with KOSA (Korean Software Industry Association) — the leading industry association uniting over 14,000 IT companies in South Korea. The negotiations resulted in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the IT Ukraine Association and KOSA, outlining the development of cooperation in digital transformation, innovation, and technological partnership.
The visit also included talks with technology giants. The delegation visited Hanwha Robotics, which presented its developments in robotics. Cooperation was initiated with Daeodong, a manufacturer of agricultural machinery, focusing on agro-technology, including machinery supply to Ukraine.
The delegation held several meetings with Hyulim Group and other Korean IT companies. Presentation sessions were conducted where Ukrainian participants showcased their products, technologies, and expertise areas. Korean partners expressed interest in IT consulting, cloud solutions, software development, and digital services.
A special highlight was the visit to Naver’s headquarters — one of South Korea’s largest internet holdings. Mutual company presentations took place, followed by a tour of Naver’s innovative building, showcasing cutting-edge solutions in artificial intelligence, big data, digital infrastructure, and automated services.
The visit served as a strong impetus for forming long-term technological partnerships between Ukraine and South Korea. The agreements reached lay the foundation for investment cooperation, joint projects, and the promotion of Ukrainian IT solutions in Asian markets.
Both sides confirmed their readiness to take further steps, including organising business forums, B2B meetings, training programs, and maintaining ongoing dialogue between the IT ecosystems of both countries.
The events were organised by IT Ukraine Association in collaboration with the Ukrainian-Korean Business Council under the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine, ITOXI Corp., and the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Korea.
