The project, announced in the summer of 2023, is a joint initiative of the UK Government and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, techUK and IT Ukraine Association.
In the summer of 2022, a governmental Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Ukraine and the UK, followed by a Digital Trade Agreement in the spring of 2023. As parties to the agreements and representatives of hundreds of the respective countries’ companies, techUK and ITU have developed a strategic partnership to support Ukraine’s technological recovery, promote and develop technological links and build up bilateral projects in digital technologies and related fields.
Among the supporters of the project from launch are Oracle, Salesforce, Deloitte, Coax Software, VML, and AWS—these and other international partners of the project strive to ensure the highest quality and thoroughness of digital reskilling and upskilling programmes, thus fulfilling one of the key goals of the project.
Beyond that, TechBridge connects UK and Ukrainian IT ecosystems among 16 sectors:
Now, Ukrainian IT companies and startups will have even more opportunities for their development — even easier access to additional funding from UK investors and grants. Crucially, UK-Ukraine TechBridge is beneficial for both countries. New partnerships with top players in the UK IT industry will enable the development of powerful joint products and services,
