Trade mission for IT companies to the Netherlands

IT Ukraine, together with the Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office, the national project Diia.Business, and with the support of the German government, invites representatives of Ukrainian small and medium-sized IT businesses to participate in a Trade Mission to the Netherlands. 

 

The Netherlands is a financial technology center with offices of leading companies, world-class infrastructure, new technologies and an excellent location for scaling up fintech companies. More than 850 fintech companies, financial institutions, and technology companies are based in the Netherlands, making it the second largest fintech industry in the EU and the third largest in terms of investment funds. The Netherlands is home to the third largest startup community in Europe and the fifth largest scalable community. As one of the best countries in the world for business, the Netherlands offers excellent conditions for scaling financial technology in Europe.

 

Program included: 

  • Business visit to the fintech conference Money 20/20;
  • Meetings with business representatives, associations, and business unions;
  • An educational workshop with experts on “Navigating the fintech market in 2024”;
  • Business visits to the Dutch tech ecosystem. 
 

8 small and medium-sized IT companies will be selected for participation and will be given the opportunity to:

  • Establish new business contacts;
  • Explore the Dutch market from the inside;
  • Learn about market features and potential;
  • Exchange experience with Dutch IT companies and associations; 
  • Present the opportunities of the Ukrainian IT sector.
 

Terms of participation:

  • The company is a registered entity (private entrepreneur or legal entity) in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine; 
  • The company’s website and marketing materials are available in English;
  • The company’s representative is fluent in English;
  • Successful export cases (fintech, e-commerce, banking, etc.) will be an advantage;
  • Preference will be given to small and medium-sized enterprises;
  • Willingness to physically send an English-speaking company representative to the Netherlands and cover the costs of logistics in Amsterdam, meals and other related expenses;
  • No legal or financial ties to the russian federation or belarus.
 

The application deadline is May 25, 2024. Registration is available here.

 

After a detailed analysis of the information provided by the company, the organizers will form a short list of potential participants and, if necessary, contact them to clarify the data. Based on the results of the processed information, a list of participating companies will be formed and they will be informed to confirm their participation.

The trade mission will be organized by the IT Ukraine Association in cooperation with the Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office, a national project of Diia.Business with the financial support of the European Union and the German government within the framework of the international cooperation program «EU4Business: recovery, competitiveness and internationalization of SMEs», which is implemented in Ukraine by the German federal company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH
