Following an initiative by IT Ukraine Association, the Government of Ukraine has officially established International Programmer’s Day at the national level, to be celebrated on January 7, in line with global practice.This decision goes beyond setting a date. It reflects Ukraine’s European trajectory.Ukrainian programmers and engineers play a critical role by:
delivering solutions for defense, healthcare, education, agritech, and public services;
positioning IT as Ukraine’s second-largest export industry;
strengthening Ukraine’s image as a trusted technology partner worldwide.
During the war, Ukraine’s IT community has demonstrated resilience, efficiency, and global competitiveness. Establishing an official professional day acknowledges the contribution of hundreds of thousands of specialists who are building Ukraine’s digital future every day.We thank the Government of Ukraine and the Ministry of Digital Transformation for supporting this initiative.We continue working forward — strategically, consistently, and together with the industry.
