Synergy. IT Business & IT Education, the largest IT education conference in Ukraine that brought together IT business leaders, representatives of corporate, private, public education institutions, the public sector and the country’s best experts, took place on December 11-12. This year, successful Ukrainian EdTech startups joined the event for the first time.
The event spanned two eventful days, bringing together 300+ offline participants, 30+ speakers and a large number of online viewers who actively participated in case studies, including 4 in-depth panel discussions and 8 workshops from market leaders.
Trends and prospects for the development of the global IT education market, the synergy of education and innovation, and plans for the development of IT Education in Ukraine for 2024 were discussed.
Education is the first global direction that will have a long-term impact on the development of the state. Without the development of science, innovations and the development of the latest technologies are impossible. We are currently working on the National Innovation Strategy. This is the answer to the question of where we are going, how the structure of the economy will change, how we will support education and science, so that more innovative companies worth more than a billion dollars will appear. Changes in education are the foundation for this,
Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology – Minister of Digital Transformation, said during his speech.
Ukraine is digitizing education and science – this is a complex task in order to build an ecosystem of digital solutions, including the creation of a safe electronic educational environment, providing the necessary digital infrastructure, and increasing the level of digital competence of teachers and students.
The IT industry is one of the main drivers of education transformation. Innovations in the field of budget financing — the introduction of grants for obtaining education in some fields — will lead to the expansion of access to quality technological education, which subsequently will increase Ukraine’s competitiveness in the global market of IT services and products. The transformation of education, in particular in the field of IT, is aimed at increasing the number of people who receive state support for obtaining an education, at improving the quality of the education and cultivating subjectivity in the acquirers through the expansion of their choice and competition,
Mykhailo Vynnytskyi, Deputy Minister of Education and of Sciences of Ukraine on higher education, stressed.
Currently, the team of the Ministry of Education and Science has developed a new approach to state financing of higher education, which involves a grant model. One of the options for its implementation is the possibility to apply for such financing through Diia. Such a system aims to stimulate young people to enrol actively in higher education institutions, in particular in the “Software Engineering” and “Computer Science” majors.
Synergy. IT Business & IT Education is an annual event where we talk about the future of education. And the future of education is based on technology. IT is a driver of economic growth of countries and other individual industries, as it is integrated into all spheres of the economy. Today, the development of any industry cannot be imagined without the latest technologies, digital solutions and digitization. EdTech startups, created through the integration of the latest technologies, AI and scientific developments, are the future, which is already becoming a part of our everyday life,
Maria Shevchuk, Acting Executive Director of the IT Ukraine Association.
Synergy. IT Business & IT Education 2023 focused on the relentless dynamics of the EdTech market of Ukraine, which is scaling, changing, mastering the latest technologies, introducing AI into education, developing talents and globalisation.
Ukraine is a place for plans! It is a country of talented individuals who create innovative technologies. The IT industry is one of the drivers of sustainable economic development in Ukraine. To compete in the global IT market, we must ensure that Ukrainian IT education is of high quality, relevant, and aligns with current trends. UKRSIBBANK is a reliable and stable partner of IT Ukraine Association. We support all key initiatives of the Association and have been a partner of IT Synergy for many years. It is important for us to bring together everyone who influences education in the IT industry because true education transformation happens through the synergy of all stakeholders,
shared Andrii Kashperuk, Deputy Chairman of the Board for Retail Business at UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group.
True development and economic growth is possible only in the synergy of education, business and the state. Businesses make a significant contribution to education, develop their own educational programs, train young people and their employees. Corporate universities, in cooperation with private and state universities, create successful educational programs, implement charitable projects, educate young people, sweaters and adults who seek to improve their profession.
Talent development continues in spite of everything – covid, war, relocation, anxieties. It is important to realise our role and responsibility for the future of our country, for modern education and efficient business. Over 10 years, Synergy has grown from a few dozen guests to a large two-day conference. The first day takes place online and offline in Kyiv, the second day is about online workshops from IT companies, where in the format of Q&A and discussions, everyone can learn from the best and learn new things,
Denys Hrynyov, Vice-President for Education IT Ukraine Association , Head of educational programs of EPAM University in Ukraine.
