Synergy conference gathered about 400 participants

Yuriy Antonyuk, Vice President and CEO of SEE, EPAM Systems, spoke about effective interaction between educational institutions and IT business:The world has changed and modern youth are mobile today: they choose where to work, where and why to study. We need to make every effort to keep young people in Ukraine. We need to experiment and change curriculum. There are many examples of successful collaboration between IT companies and universities, but universities still needs to be the driver of change. We believe that the creative industries in Ukraine will develop rapidly, as we see the support from the authorities and the high level of human potential of Ukrainians

Maksym Pochebut, Head of educational programs at EPAM Ukraine, Vice President of educational issues at IT Ukraine noted in his speech the growing interest in IT education:For the sixth consecutive year, IT Ukraine has been organizing a Synergy educational conference. During this time, it has become a real platform for new ideas and projects, new relationships and effective collaborations. Society finally realizes that education is the responsibility of each of us. This year I had the opportunity to visit the best universities in the world, including Stanford University and UC Berkeley. Their examples prove that the educational ecosystem works effectively only if there is interaction between government, education and business. Our job is to divide the responsibilities between the representatives of each side of this triangle and stop shifting responsibility to the shoulders of others

More about the synergy of government, education and IT business was discussed in the first panel discussion, which was attended by Alexander Bornyakov, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation; Yegor Studny, Deputy Minister of Education and Science; Yuriy Antonyuk, Vice President and CEO of CEE, EPAM Systems; Oleksandr Nikolyak, Head of the Students’ College of Lviv Polytechnic National University.
