Support ITU Projects at DOU Awards 2025

Publication date:

  • 18.02.2025

Publication from:

IT Ukraine

Voting in the second DOU Award is now open! IT Ukraine Association has made it to the shortlist of finalists for the second time — ITU is nominated in the category ‘The best non-commercial initiative that promotes the development of the IT industry.’

This year, the Association is competing via three shortlisted entries for the win in this category, so we call upon you to support us by casting exactly three votes for the three contenders: DOU-Awards-2025 🏆

🐅 “Digital Tiger: the Power of Ukrainian IT — 2023 Research” — a unique research that analyses the state and potential of the Ukrainian IT industry, compares it with other countries, and identifies its competitive advantages in the global market.

Developed by the IT Ukraine Association and the Top Lead agency with the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. General partners of the research: UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group and Payoneer. Media partner — MC.Today.

The goal of the project was to provide validated data on the Ukrainian IT industry, with, for the first time, a comparison of the industry’s potential with other countries and identifying the real impact of the IT sector on the Ukrainian economy.

The research openly analyses the challenges the country faces, compares its development level with other states, and identifies the strengths that help the industry in its dialogue with clients and partners. The research paper has become an effective tool for promoting Ukrainian IT and is available to any Ukrainian company working with international partners, as well as experts, market participants, media and partners who seek to have an objective understanding of the Ukrainian IT industry.

🪖 “IT one WAR” — a study that demonstrates how the Ukrainian IT industry has become an integral part of the fight against russian aggression — covers the implementation of military technologies, digital solutions to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, humanitarian initiatives and volunteer projects that ensure the resilience and development of the country even in difficult conditions.

The study, initiated by the IT Ukraine Association and Mind, highlights the significant contribution of the Ukrainian IT industry to countering russian aggression.

The goal of the project was to showcase how tech companies and specialists have adapted their resources and expertise to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, develop military technologies, implement humanitarian initiatives and aid in the country’s recovery. The significance of the project lies in its emphasis on the role of the IT community in ensuring the resilience and development of Ukraine during wartime, as well as its inspiration of further integration of technologies into various sectors in order to strengthen national security and the economy.

The result of the research is concrete data and examples of projects confirming that the Ukrainian IT industry has become a powerful force of national resistance, investing more than 38 billion UAH in supporting the Armed Forces and implementing numerous technological solutions that help save lives and bring all of us in Ukraine closer to victory.

🎓 “IT for Uni: Bootcamp 2.0” — an educational course for university leaders that are relying on the IT industry’s experience to transform management processes in educational institutions.

The project is implemented by the IT Ukraine Association with the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the general partner — UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group.

The goal of the project was to improve the quality of educational services and the efficiency of learning processes, enhance the qualifications of educators and strengthen Ukraine’s human resources potential.

“IT for Uni Bootcamp” united the IT community and educators, having created an ecosystem for implementing innovations in teaching and management in Ukrainian higher education institutions. Interaction between educators and IT industry leaders through lectures, workshops and mentoring creates space for mastering innovations and effective strategies, attracting resources, building new educational programs and management practices in educational institutions. For instance, after the course, participants began implementing AI to adapt teaching and management processes, analyze student success, and, for example, AI-based chatbots have started helping with administrative tasks, information retrieval and organising learning. ‘IT for Uni: Bootcamp’ is an example of how the IT industry can be a driver of change, expanding the horizons of education and creating new opportunities for the next generation of IT specialists.

  • What’s next?

The award will be presented based on analytics, the results of online voting by the IT community, and evaluation by an expert group. The ceremony will take place in March in Kyiv.
