Maria Shevchuk, Executive Director of the IT Ukraine Association, provided commentary for DOU regarding the new opportunities that the partnerships between the Ukrainian IT sector and the UAE opens up: Cooperation with the country holds significant prospects for Ukrainian IT companies, opening up opportunities to occupy new niches.
The United Arab Emirates are making considerable efforts to diversify their economy, including focusing on the IT sector. Cooperation with the UAE can provide Ukrainian IT companies with access to new markets and investment opportunities.
We deem the UAE market to be one of the attractive ones for further development of the IT sector. Not only the UAE market, but also the broader Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) Region. The total IT market of the Persian Gulf was valued at over $100 billion in 2024, which is not a large figure compared to the US market. The UAE is a promising market for diversifying Ukrainian IT exports, opening new offices. That’s why we urge companies to take a closer look at it,

The IT services market in the UAE is expected to see significant revenue growth, namely $3.76 billion by 2025. It is anticipated that this market will demonstrate a stable average annual growth rate of 6.24% from 2025 to 2029, leading to an increase in market volume to $4.79 billion by the end of the forecast period. This growth is driven by continuous technological progress and the implementation of IT services across various sectors of the country.
