Legal Talks: Tax Residency and eTrips in Spotlight!

Military realities stimulate constant business transformations and the search for new unconventional solutions. The most risky today are the political, legal and financial spheres. The issues of professional’s reservation, temporary travel abroad, currency exchange regulation and tax residency remain at the top of the problems list.

We are launching a new online discussion format, Legal Talks, in order to jointly discuss pressing issues of business development in new conditions with representatives of the government, business and experts, maintain an open dialogue with the government and synchronize our positions, get professional updates that will help make balanced decisions and keep abreast!

We invite you to take part in the first Legal Talks, where we will discuss tax residency and the new eVidryadjennia procedure. We have invited special guests: representatives of the Ministry of Economy, the specialized committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, tax and international law associates.

Let’s discuss the most relevant topics:
  • How is the issue of tax residency resolved at the national authority’s level?
  • What tools are used by state bodies in working with European structures?
  • What are the risks for the state if entrepreneurs and sole traders become tax residents of other countries?
  • What are the main obstacles that arise during the implementation of the procedure and their possible settlement?
We will also talk about the methodology for determining tax liabilities and consider a case study of a Ukrainian FOP abroad. Speakers:
  • Denys Kudin, First Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine;
  • Serhiy Smetanko, Head of the Department of Security and Defense Economics, Ministry of Economy of Ukraine;
  • Yaroslav Zheleznyak, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy;
  • Victoria Bublichenko, lawyer, GOLAW, expert in the tax law practice, restructuring and problem debt settlement;
  • Denys Ersoy, international and transactional taxation practice lawyer, Arzinger.
