The first strategic session of the Association’s EdTech Committee took place on July 18. Committee members shared their vision for the development of the vertical’s development in Ukraine and internationally, as well as outlined the challenges and issues that arise in their activities and in the market as a whole.
Permanent committees are a new format of expanded interaction between the Association and Ukrainian companies with unique expertise in selected verticals. Today, the participants of the EdTech Committee have developed a considerable number of initiatives that will become the basis for the sustainable development of this industry,
stated Maria Shevchuk, Executive Director of the Association.
During the strategic session, committee members analysed the fundamental directions of the successful development of the EdTech segment of the IT industry, in particular:
The formed roadmap of each committee will be integrated into the Association’s profile events.
The first strategic session of the EdTech committee, according to our joint assessment, was extremely dynamic and productive. Participants in the Ukrainian EdTech industry finally have a common space to exchange views, voice ideas, and highlight problems. It’s nice to feel a match in thoughts and values. As a result of the session, we outlined key solutions for GR and international expansion, on the basis of which we will build a project roadmap and form working groups. I sincerely thank to all participants, and especially the IT Ukraine Association, for the opportunity to make real changes,
noted the committee’s driver Kateryna Borovska, CMO of Promova.
The members of the EdTech Committee are Promova, Hillel IT School, IT Step, GIOS, Choice31, CASES, Flexreality, EPAM Digital, Lionwood Software, DAN.IT Education, GlobalLogic (a Hitachi Group Company), Huspi, UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group, Zapal, Beetroot Academy, Geniusee, Ciklum, ITVDN, Sigma Software, and GoIT.
The evolution of IT in Ukraine is a story where we are gradually moving from the general promotion of IT as a phenomenon and the development industry to the creation and promotion of specific niches, directions, and levels. We have a lot of companies, very interesting businesses, from multimillion-billion dollar companies that are already known to companies that are established, being created, developing, but need support, development, and really special conditions that do not apply to the entire IT sector,
said the moderator of the strategic session Yurii Hladkyi.
Recently, the IT Ukraine Association introduced Committee Leaders in the AgriTech, CyberTech, FinTech, and EdTech verticals.
The general partner and donor of the project is UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group.
We are grateful to SoftServe for their hospitality and support of the event.
