Large-scale meeting brings together Ukraine's IT ecosystem and Ministry of Digital Transformation leadership

IT Ukraine Association, together with Diia.City Union, brought together more than 200 Ukrainian technology companies — Diia.City residents, start-ups, regional clusters and sector associations — for a meeting with the new Head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Oksana Ferchuk, and Deputy Minister Natalia Denikeieva.

This was a landmark event for the entire technology sector. All key ecosystem players came together on a single platform for an open dialogue to hear exclusive insights, the strategic vision and the priorities of the Ministry’s new team, which will shape the direction of the IT industry for 2026–2027.

Maria Shevchuk, Executive Director of IT Ukraine Association, raised a number of systemic issues, including: continuity in the implementation of the WINWIN 2030 Strategy and a concrete roadmap within Ukraine’s Global Innovation Strategy, the development of digital infrastructure and cybersecurity, and tools to support technology exports, start-ups and scale-ups.

Valeriia Kushnerchuk, Executive Director of Diia.City Union, emphasised the importance of preserving the terms of Diia.City — one of the key factors that has enabled the IT industry to remain resilient throughout the full-scale war — as well as the importance of transparent reservation (military deferral) procedures for specialists.

The Ministry’s team outlined five strategic priorities, underpinned by three overarching pillars — defence capability, economic development and European integration:

  1. Resilience of digital infrastructure
  2. Development of Diia.City as the leading jurisdiction for innovative business
  3. The state as a convenient service, and development of the Diia ecosystem
  4. Leadership in artificial intelligence
  5. Digitalisation of the Defence Forces and veteran services

The meeting marked an important step in the dialogue between the IT industry and the Ministry of Digital Transformation’s new leadership. We thank all participants, speakers and the Ministry’s team for this meeting, and for their openness and joint efforts towards the development of Ukraine’s tech sector.

We would also like to extend our special thanks to UNIT.City for their hospitality and partnership!
