On June 17th, the large-scale event Tech360: Policy, Talents & Growth, organised by the IT Ukraine Association, brought together over 50 leading experts and thought leaders from the public and private sectors as speakers, with more than 600 attendees both offline and online.
As part of the ‘Beyond the Code: Development and Scaling of IT Business’ track, we explored effective strategies for promoting IT products in international markets, new approaches to building brands and marketing campaigns, successful cases of Ukrainian IT companies entering the USA, EU, LATAM, and MENA, the balance between exporting IT services and developing technological solutions for the domestic market, VC and M&A during the storm, and the features of communications in the IT market.
Panel discussion “Investment Trends in Tech Business 2025: VC, M&A, and Market Transformation” was moderated by Karina Kudryavtseva, Head of Growth at EIT Community Hub Ukraine, with the participation of:
Even in the midst of full-scale war, Ukrainian product companies can grow, attract investments, and become “unicorns.” AI is the new revolution that is filling the market with generative content. Investors have billions of dollars, but there is still a shortage, as well as a lack of promising startups, of which there are more than enough. Most Ukrainian DefenceTech companies are single-product, so just a few rounds of investment are enough, although the industry is facing consolidation. Syndicates help form portfolios and minimise risks. It is necessary to invest not only in businesses but also in teams, as success depends on people.
Interview “Out of the Comfort Zone: Opportunities for Ukrainian IT in LATAM, MENA and Other Non-Traditional Markets” was moderated by Anna Tyschenko, CEO of JEVERA, XME.digital, featured:
In 2025, the markets of Latin America (LATAM) and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) are showing significant growth in IT services and digital transformation. The main challenge is cultural differences and the need for deep market research. Partnering with local companies is key to success in these markets, as Middle Eastern countries are actively creating favorable conditions for investments and digital initiatives.
It is expected that the LATAM IT services market will reach $110.3 billion by 2030, with an annual growth rate of 7.3%. Countries such as Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina are becoming attractive for outsourcing due to their time zones, cultural proximity, and high-quality services. IT spending in the region is projected to reach $230.7 billion in 2025, representing a 7.4% increase compared to the previous year. Significant investments are particularly visible in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, where governments are supporting digital transformation and innovation.
Interview “Enterprise Tech: How Ukrainian Businesses Are Building Their Own Solutions” was moderated by Ihor Polych, Vice President for International Cooperation at ITU and CEO of Devlight, featured the following speakers:
In 2025, the world is experiencing a new wave of institutional digital transformation. According to Gartner, over 85% of large international companies are investing in their own technological developments, with 42% of them creating separate technology departments or spin-off companies focused on software, AI, DataOps, and automation. While the Enterprise IT sector is dynamically transforming, leading national players such as MHP and DTEK are already forming their own IT teams and investing in their internal products.
DTEK, with 16,000 users and over 700 IT professionals, is creating the largest energy data centers in Europe, implementing custom solutions for document management and ERP systems. MHP, with 36,000 employees and 400 IT specialists, is focusing on enhancing its IT processes through five centers of expertise. The main trend is that competitive advantages are not permanent — they must be earned through innovation and digital transformation. This process starts with the business leader, and real digital transformation has clearly defined goals that are achieved through effective data management.
Panel discussion “Choosing the Horizon: Growth Strategies for Ukrainian IT in the Context of Global Instability” was moderated by Daria Leshchenko, Managing Partner at SupportYourApp, Co-Founder of Label Your Data and Outstaff Your Team, among the speakers were:
Speakers emphasised the importance of attracting more clients for business growth. Product-oriented Ukrainian companies face three main challenges: access to capital, market penetration, and lack of expertise. Not all profits are repatriated to Ukraine due to the necessity of paying foreign invoices, such as those from Google and Microsoft. AI technologies are changing the situation by reducing the need for numerous engineers. The market is becoming more mature, and communication with company founders provides the most valuable insights. Products also need to be introduced quickly; otherwise, they become non-investable. In the age of technology, A-Players no longer exist — there are only AI Players and various categories of A/B/C/D Players.
