ITU Becomes a Strategic Partner of New Project IT Connect UA – Ukrainian IT Without Borders

ITU Becomes a Strategic Partner of New Project IT Connect UA – Ukrainian IT Without Borders

IT Ukraine

The IT Ukraine Association has joined as a strategic partner of a new career and educational project, IT Connect UA, which supports Ukrainians both in Ukraine and abroad in starting a career in the national IT sector, gaining knowledge, mentorship and professional development together with industry leaders.

Developing human capital is one of the key priorities for the IT industry in Ukraine. The IT Connect UA project creates unique conditions for Ukrainians, wherever they are, to acquire up-to-date knowledge, mentoring support and access to companies seeking new talent. For the IT Ukraine Association, this is more than just a partnership — it is a contribution to strengthening human capital and building a sustainable IT ecosystem for the future,

emphasised Maria Shevchuk, Executive Director of the IT Ukraine Association.

The main goal of the IT Connect UA project is to support the national IT ecosystem and create opportunities for Ukrainians to remain professionally connected to the Ukrainian market, regardless of their current country of residence. The project is aimed at Ukrainian youth, students, college and university graduates, junior specialists, veterans and anyone looking to change professions and build a career in Ukrainian tech companies.

We are creating opportunities for Ukrainians to gain knowledge and work with Ukraine’s leading technology companies, regardless of where they currently are,

noted Oleksiy Chernyshov, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister for National Unity.

Participation in the project is fully remote, allowing Ukrainians from anywhere in the world to join. Thanks to partner support, the training is free of charge, ensuring equal opportunities for all those who wish to start a career in the Ukrainian IT industry. The programme includes:

  • Online training in the following areas: Java, JavaScript, .NET, DevOps, Software Testing;
  • Access to the Learn platform by educational partner EPAM Campus;
  • Mentorship support from 10 Ukrainian IT companies;
  • Career consultations and real-world case studies.

The IT market is evolving, and today it’s not enough to simply complete a training course — it’s crucial to gain practical experience, understand employer expectations, and build your own career path. Within the IT Connect UA project, participants will work with mentors and solve real tasks. We want them to finish the programme not only with basic knowledge but with the ability to apply for real job positions in Ukrainian IT companies,

said Denys Hryniov, Head of EPAM Campus and Vice President of ITU for Educational Affairs.

10 Ukrainian IT companies have already joined the project — EPAM Ukraine, CLOUD WORKS, Intellias, ProArea, Chainza, WebMeridian, ITRDev, CHM Software, ProfITsoft, iDev Agency. Thanks to these partners, participants who successfully complete the first two stages of training will receive unique professional mentoring support.

Despite all challenges, it is crucial that every Ukrainian has the opportunity to gain knowledge and work with leading Ukrainian tech companies. IT Connect UA is a strategic project that not only equips Ukrainians with knowledge and practical skills but also integrates them into a powerful national IT ecosystem. We are creating opportunities for everyone who aspires to realise themselves in Ukraine’s technology industry, regardless of borders,

commented Olga Shapoval, Executive Director of Kharkiv IT Cluster.

Registration for the project is open until 22 April 2025 at 09:00. You can register and find more details on the Kharkiv IT Cluster’s website.

The project is implemented by Kharkiv IT Cluster and EPAM Ukraine, with the support of the Ministry of National Unity of Ukraine and the Diia.City initiative from the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
