Tech Emerging Europe Advocates and the IT Ukraine Association have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to increase the awareness about the Ukrainian tech globally.

Ukraine’s largest IT community and emerging Europe’s community of tech entrepreneurs, investors and enthusiast which is part of a global network of over 25,000 advocates, join forces to strengthen the image of Ukraine as a country with great technical capabilities, offering high quality services and steadily delivering to international partners even during wartime.

Tech Emerging Europe Advocates, and more broadly, Emerging Europe, have been supporting the Association’s efforts to highlight the potential and capabilities of the Ukrainian IT sector for quite some time, but especially recently, since Russia’s invasion, through our Support Digital Ukraine initiative, launched just a few days after the invasion. We are delighted that we have now strengthened our collaboration.
— Andrew Wrobel, Founding Partner, Emerging Europe, and Leader of Tech Emerging Europe Advocates
In August, Emerging Europe released a report focused on the Ukrainian start-up ecosystem six months after the invasion, which included an in-depth analysis of the IT sector in Ukraine and a forecast for its development in the next several months. Alongside that, Emerging Europe has prepared conditions for the IT Ukraine Association’s member companies wishing to join its membership programme aiming at building companies’ digital presence and strengthening the thought leadership of its experts. Each IT Association Member is offered a lifetime discount of 25 percent. Earlier, in March, Tech Emerging Europe Advocates launched its Ukraine Chapter, which is led by Nataly Veremeeva.
Kostantin Vasyuk, Executive Director of the IT Ukraine Association, says: I am excited about the growth of our partnership with Emerging Europe. We have had a dynamic connection involving each other in preceding activities. Our significant mutual endeavour for a bilateral framework fostering social, economic, and democratic development will simply be cemented by this MoU, and we are looking forward to the growth of Ukraine’s immersion in the European world.
Both organisations are currently planning additional activities supporting the development of technology, especially the information technology sector and the start-up ecosystems, the development of innovation across sectors, including the private and public sector, as well as increasing the competitiveness of the region in the global market.   Some of the joint activities include mutual promotion, seminars, workshops, meet-ups and other events, sourcing activities, policy recommendations, lobbying, fundraising, research and analysis. ABOUT The IT Ukraine Association is the largest national association of IT companies, which represents the interests of more than 82,000 IT professionals and over 120 companies, in Ukraine.   The Association’s mission is to provide favourable conditions for the sustainable development of information technology in the country through four main areas of its work: Government Relations, International Relations, Education and CSR. Since the beginning of war, it contributes to the ongoing development of the industry and provides centralised support to the army and people. Tech Emerging Europe Advocates is a community of tech entrepreneurs, leaders, experts and investors eager to make emerging Europe, and any of the individual countries that are included in the Tech Emerging Europe Advocates framework, a global tech hub. The community is run by Emerging Europe, a London-based growth hub focused on the emerging Europe region. It is part of Global Tech Advocates (GTA) with over 25,000 advocates across the world. GTA was set up by Russ Shaw, one of the founders of London Tech Week.  The community promotes innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainable growth of 25 countries included in the framework: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan.
