IT Ukraine Presented the Results of Work for the First Half of 2021

On September 10, the largest in Ukraine specialized IT Ukraine Association presented its achievements for the first half of 2021. The presentation took place within the Association General Meeting. The event brought together over 150 leaders of leading IT companies and clusters, government officials, and partners from several international organizations and the media.

As of September 2021, the Association has formed the largest specialized community, consisting of over 65 thousand IT specialists. In total, 72 companies are members of the Association, 12 of which joined in 2021. The largest share of members — 30 % — are medium-sized businesses with 200–800 employees. The Association is constantly strengthening its strategic partnerships, so for the sustainable development of the IT industry in 2021, cooperation agreements with 9 IT clusters in Ukraine were signed..

 

Vitaly Sedler, the President of IT Ukraine Association, CEO of Intellias: In 15 years, IT Ukraine Association has transformed into a powerful IT community consisting of over 65 thousand IT specialists. In 2021, we actively defended the interests of business within the Diia.City framework, launched an international line of work, opposed COVID-19 as part of a collective campaign to vaccinate IT professionals, and implemented a number of educational projects. All these initiatives are aimed at the sustainable development of the IT industry, which year after year is only increasing the pace of its development and is a stable source of revenue for the Ukrainian budget.

In the first half of 2021, IT Ukraine participated in the development and promotion of 15 draft laws. And its main vectors of work were defending the interests of IT business within the Diia.City framework, reducing the burden on the payroll and protection of the rights of private entrepreneurs. Within the international line of work, 2 large-scale projects have been launched and are being implemented: IT Export Boost and Export IT Alliance. This means that over 80 Ukrainian IT companies have received various expert assistance and opportunities to enter 21 export markets of the world. In the first half of 2021, the Education & CSR team of the Association implemented 5 projects. The national campaign of collective vaccination of IT specialists, which the Association is implementing jointly with the Ministry of Health, has become large-scale and socially important. The development of IT education is one of the key areas of work of IT Ukraine Association. Its educational programs unite all stakeholders involved in the development of IT education. In the first half of 2021, IT Ukraine implemented 5 educational projects, in particular: IT Education Summit educational conference; Learn.Play.Work, an online course on the basics of IT professions; a series of training lectures for employees of the Ministry of Education and Science; I want to join IT career guidance for youngsters, etc. In total, over the past 5 years, the Association has implemented 12 projects, 8 of which are systemic. In total, they attracted over 48 thousand participants. In 2021, the Association became a partner of the International B2B platform Clutch, which annually explores markets and forms rankings of the world’s top service companies. Members of the Association who are members of Clutch can be found on a separate partner platform itukraine.clutch.co. Open dialogue and stable partnerships with the media is a priority of the PR line of work of the Association. In the first half of 2021, there were 2 press meetings of Vitaly Sedler, the President of the Association and CEO of Intellias, with journalists. Topics for discussion were the legal regime of Diia.City, results and trends in the industry in the first half of 2021.
