IT Ukraine Names Committee Leaders

IT Ukraine Names Committee Leaders

Publication date:

  • 17.07.2024

Publication from:

IT Ukraine

The IT Ukraine Association has named the committee leaders for AgriTech, CyberTech, FinTech, and EdTech. Permanent committees are a new format of expanded interaction between the Association and Ukrainian companies with unique expertise in selected verticals. The participants elected Committee leaders based on the vision and presentation of tactical steps by the end of the year.

The committees will become the centre of the Association’s initiatives in the AgriTech, CyberTech, FinTech and EdTech segments. We congratulate the selected committee leaders and are excited to start active work in each area,

said Maria Shevchuk, Executive Director of the IT Ukraine Association.

Stanislav Shum, founder of Aggeek—a project on agricultural innovation, and Top Lead—a visualisation company featured in the Forbes Next 250 ranking in 2024, has been promoting AgriTech for 8 years. Over these years, he has published several catalogues and guides on innovations in agriculture, and organised several annual specialised conferences.

During my AgriTech Committee Leadership, I plan to help the AgTech industry bring up an influential community in Ukraine and increase the competitiveness of Ukrainian products in Western markets,

comments Stanislav Shum.

Sergii Prynov, Acting Director of Seeton, has more than 20 years of experience in sales and implementation of complex IT projects and cybersecurity solutions. He has worked in representative offices of international companies such as Rittal, Oracle, Dell, and local system integrators. Sergiy is a regular participant in USAID Cybersecurity for Critical Infrastructure in Ukraine Activity roundtables and working groups and co-chair of the EBA Cybersecurity Subcommittee.

Establishing a committee in the Association is an extremely important step for the development of the cybersecurity sector in Ukraine, as it will bring together various market representatives—relevant public and government organisations, businesses, leading manufacturers of cybersecurity solutions—and their representatives in Ukraine,

said Sergii Prynov.

Julia Fedosiuk, CEO of UAPAY—a national payment service, has been elected as a FinTech committee leader. Julia has extensive legal expertise covering fintech, tax, corporate and IT law and contributes to the development of the legal and financial sector at the international level. She is a co-founder and Board Member of the International Advisers Association, and ITU GR Committee Member.

I am confident that the ITU FinTech Committee will become a platform for uniting companies in the sector around common interests and working towards common goals,

underscores Julia Fedosiuk.

The leader of the EdTech committee is Kateryna Borovska, CMO of Promova—one of the 25 most promising startups in Ukraine in 2023 according to Forbes. At Promova, Kateryna is rebuilding marketing from an acquisition-only function to a 360 marketing approach aimed at building long-term relationships with users across multiple channels. In a little over a year at Promova, Kateryna has managed to reassemble the marketing team and strategy, which has already doubled the annual revenue.

Ukrainians have created a lot of strong technological solutions for education that are not only internally relevant,  but also quite competitive globally. Modern technologies can bring the level of accessibility, efficiency of knowledge acquisition and use to a historic level. However, there are many challenges that the committee and I have to work hard to address, i.e., integration of technology into formal education, accessibility of education for people with disabilities and neurodivergency, promotion of Ukrainian edtech businesses in the world, etc. I sincerely believe that with the assistance of the @IT Ukraine Association and the team effort of our committee—which consists of powerful representatives of the Ukrainian EdTech community—all these challenges will be tackled in a proper manner,

says Kateryna Borovska.

Earlier, the Association announced the membership of the committees.

UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group is the General Partner and donor of the project.

Soon, Committees will hold strategic sessions based on the Association’s platform and with our moderation, and will propose a series of initiatives per each vertical. The final roadmap from each committee will be integrated into the Association’s mainstream events.
