Effective cooperation of the IT Ukraine Association with the Government of Kobe city, Japan assisting by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has resulted in the opening of Ukrainian IT company CHI Software office in Kobe.
Starting from 2021 the IT Ukraine Association is broadening the capacity of its international track in accordance with the needs of Ukrainian tech community which significantly expanded its cooperation on global markets. A new strategy was adopted with the idea of IT Export Boost, a joint project between the Exporters and Investors Council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the IT Ukraine Association in order to promote the export of Ukrainian IT products abroad.
The essence of the initiative is to encourage Ukrainian companies to have scalable experiences and international partnerships with the mediation of the diplomatic missions aiming at the export of IT services and products.
IT Export Boost channeled network opportunities to 14 targeted foreign markets, including Japan. The geography of the project continued to expand to over 21 states, but so did the magnitude of the previously established cooperations.
Over the past year the IT Ukraine Association together with the Kobe City Government had organized two engaging webinars introducing the Japanese side to Ukraine’s technological solutions and in-demand services. The occasions were immersive and touched upon the current state of the IT industry of Ukraine, outlining the main trends and appealing to the participants to support Ukrainian business during wartime.
This cooperation has resulted in many projects. One of them – office-opening of the Ukrainian IT company – CHI Software in Kobe.
I am delighted to welcome CHI Software to Kobe, Japan. The CHI Kobe Office will surely become a catalyst that will invigorate the cooperation between the Ukrainian IT industry and Japanese businesses that require many innovative IT technologies. The Kobe City Government will continue working with Ukraine and the IT Ukraine Association, and I strongly believe that our city can become a gateway for Ukrainian companies to access the Japanese market, highlighted Kizo Hisamoto, Mayor of Kobe.
The opening of the office of the Ukrainian CHI Software company in Kobe is another confirmation of Japan’s interest in Ukrainian IT specialists, their knowledge, and skills. We are sure that the CHI Software case will provide an impetus for the further development of bilateral cooperation in the field of IT between Japan and Ukraine, underlined Denys Yakovenko, First Secretary (Trade and Economic Affairs, Science and Technology) at the Embassy of Ukraine to Japan.
CHI Software is grateful to Kobe city administration, and Kobe city Mayor Hisamoto san personally, our colleagues from Ukraine IT Association, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ukrainian Embassy for strong support in establishing legal entity in Japan. We truly believe that our bilateral cooperation can lay a solid foundation for fruitful cooperation in the nearest future, which will strengthen over time and benefit Japanese business and support Ukrainian one. We are looking forward to implementing our technological experience into potential business projects brought by Kobe city enterprises! mentioned Elena Morozova, Head of Project Management of CHI Software.Reference: Exporters and Investors Council under the MFA of Ukraine is a platform of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs accumulating information about investment and trade opportunities from all over the world, as well as fostering business contacts between Ukrainian exporters and importers abroad.
