IT Ukraine joined the Working Group on Digitalization

On May 19, 2022, a meeting of the subgroup “Digital Economy / Development of the IT Industry” of the Working Group on Digitalization of the National Council for Recovery of Ukraine from the consequences of war was held under the presidency of the group’s curator, MP Yegor Chernev. The association was represented by Yefrem Lashchuk, Director of Political and Legal Affairs.

The main areas of further work of the subgroup will be:

Development of the IT industry in Ukraine (Diia.City, e-residence, IT education, start-ups, e-sports).
Harmonization of Ukrainian legislation in the field of e-commerce with EU regulations.
Defining the principles, conditions and directions of using blockchain technology in public administration.
Development of technologies of artificial intelligence, machine learning and introduction of their use in priority sectors of the economy.
Development of the scope of virtual assets.
Harmonization of trust services with EU standards.

I am confident that the Working Group will elaborate an effective strategy for the recovery of Ukraine based on digitalization and a high-tech model of economic development. Undoubtedly, the export-oriented IT industry should be in the core of these processes
