IT Ukraine Association has donated the funds raised from online tickets to the Ukrainian TechComms Days conference to the “Your Support” charity foundation. These funds will be directed towards providing psychosocial support to children in the Bucha district at the “Your Support” Family Center for Mental Well-being.
Help from the big to the small, because the true value of the Association is measured not only by achievements but also by the willingness to support. Donating the funds from the online conference tickets to the “Your Support” charity foundation is our contribution to a better future for those who need it most,
said Maria Shevchuk, Executive Director of ITU.
The charity foundation “Your support” has been implementing projects to help children with congenital heart diseases in Ukraine for 10 years and has been providing humanitarian aid since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine. To date, the foundation has raised more than UAH 790,000,000 and has assisted people and medical institutions in 24 regions of Ukraine. The Foundation has supported more than 7,600 children, 135 hospitals, 77 orphanages and shelters.
After the de-occupation, both local and internally displaced persons from the territories where the hostilities are still active returned to the Bucha district. Officially, over 100,000 children have been registered, including those who have permanently resided and survived the occupation or returned after evacuation.
Children are the most vulnerable category who have experienced the horrors of war and still are under its negative influence. Issues such as PTSD, anxiety, depression, alienation and difficulty in establishing social ties have emerged among the problems that are not childish at all.
To prevent these consequences now and in the future, the “Your Support” foundation created the “Your Support” Family Center for Mental Well-being in Vorzel village.
From now on, among the foundation’s daily tasks are helping children and their families cope with the psychological consequences of the war, strengthening psychological resilience and ensuring harmonious development.
Children are our future, and their mental health is something we have to take care of every day. Especially now, when the war has forced them to face adult problems: PTSD, anxiety, depression, alienation, etc. I am sincerely grateful to the IT Ukraine Association for their support – your contribution enables us to help more children return to a normal, quality life, strengthen their psychological resilience and ensure their harmonious development. Our partnership is a great example of how we can do good together,
said Valeria Tatarchuk, founder and CEO of the ‘Your support’ Charity Foundation.
The Ukrainian TechComms Days conference brought together PR specialists, marketers, SMM specialists and media working in the IT sector. The event provided an opportunity to feel the synergy and support of each other, as well as to contribute to a charitable cause.
