The event “Reflection. Values and stories of sustainability” was held with the participation of First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska, the initiator of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Programme “Ty yak?”(How are you?) as part of Mental Health Awareness Month, which is celebrated annually around the world in May.
An international survey in 11 countries confirmed that maintaining mental health is among the top five challenges of our time.
Resilience cannot be injected like a vaccine or given to everyone like a pill. But the good news is (experts say) that resilience can be developed. It can be maintained, “pumped up”. It can be trained. If, of course, the person wants it. Because resilience is also about choice,
Olena Zelenska said.
Leading domestic and foreign scientists, philosophers, cultural experts, university educators, representatives of the arts, creative industries, media, heads of regional military administrations, and regional coordinators gathered together to jointly define the formula for Ukrainian resilience. People who generate meanings and implement the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Programme, “Ty yak?”.
Mental health is a fundamental component of the IT industry. This is especially important as innovation and creativity require not only technical skills but also psychological resilience from our specialists. IT Ukraine Association is proud to participate in the project “Reflection. Values and stories of sustainability” and wishes to continue to pay due attention to this topic and develop practices aimed at ensuring the psychological well-being of the entire community.
The event “Reflection. Values and stories of sustainability” was held as part of Mental Health Awareness Month. It was organised by the Coordination Centre for Mental Health of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine as part of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Programme “Ty yak?” an initiative of First Lady Olena Zelenska, with the support of the WHO Office in Ukraine and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) as part of the project ‘Building a Resilient Public Health System’, implemented by Pact.
