Aurora Base: a New Educational Programme for Young People

Aurora Base: a New Educational Programme for Young People

Publication date:

  • 17.11.2025

Publication from:

Мережа мультимаркетів «Аврора»

The Aurora multimarket chain continues to support active and ambitious teenagers by opening up even more opportunities for their development. The company has launched a new online project, Aurora Base — a skills-development and management training programme designed for teenagers and young adults.

Aurora Base is a gamified learning experience where participants can assess their own competencies, complete video lessons of up to 30 minutes, communicate with trainers during two online sessions, and receive personalised recommendations from specialists within the Aurora network.

The programme began on 1 November 2025 and will run for one month. The learning modules are presented in clear, accessible language and are tailored for upper-secondary school pupils as well as first-year college and university students. More than 270 participants have already joined the course, including teenagers from Germany, Slovakia and Norway.

Throughout the programme, Aurora Base participants will take part in 12 learning modules featuring practical tools, online training sessions, games and group tasks, hands-on project experience, and the development of managerial and communication skills. Upon completion, each participant will receive a certificate confirming their newly acquired knowledge and abilities.

The course uses a blended-learning format, allowing learners to choose a convenient time to view the materials. Each subsequent module becomes available only after the previous one has been completed. As part of Aurora Base, two online training sessions are planned, and an online community has been created where participants can communicate directly with the moderator and seek support or advice. The educational platform is built on the company’s internal LMS training centre.

A separate part of the programme is a special task for the most active participants. Learners are invited to design their own ideal store and present a detailed concept in a project titled “Retail 2.0: My vision of a modern accessible-goods store.” By completing this assignment, participants can demonstrate their creative thinking and gain a chance to secure an internship within the Aurora network.

The idea for the online course emerged after the launch of Aurora Students, an offline programme held from 7 to 30 July in Poltava. The intensive course was designed for proactive young people and aimed at preparing a new generation of specialists. A total of 243 applications were submitted, 14 students completed the training, and 8 went on to secure internships at Aurora.

The company saw growing demand for soft-skills training not only from university students in their third to fifth years, but also from sixth-form pupils and college students. This prompted the decision to create an online product accessible to a wider audience.

We aim to support young people in their desire to gain new knowledge and skills. We want to show that development can be engaging and practical. Schools teach hard skills, such as how to count, but we will demonstrate how to interact ‘the Aurora way’ — with openness, inspiration and respect. We will teach soft skills such as leadership, initiative, and how to structure your working day, and show learners that there is no need to be afraid of trying,

— said Kateryna Kolubai, Head of Ethics and Values Compliance at the Aurora network.

Aurora Base is an engaging and interactive learning opportunity, as well as a chance to experience Aurora’s corporate culture, understand how a modern Ukrainian company operates, and take the first step in one’s professional journey.
