A Closed Roundtable Dedicated to Ukrainian-British Cooperation in the Field of Cybersecurity Took Place on March 7th in London

The cybersecurity roundtable is organized by the Department of Business and Trade of the UK, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, and the IT Ukraine Association together with techUK with the support of the USAID Cybersecurity for Critical Infrastructure in Ukraine Activity.

 

 

The Ukrainian cyber industry is becoming a key partner for the UK. Therefore, the event brought together over 50 representatives and experts in cybersecurity from Ukraine and the UK. Ukrainian companies, including ISSP, Cyber Unit Technologies, Osavul, Seeton, 10Guards, ELEKS, Sigma Software Group, Labyrinth Security Solutions, CQR, Kyivstar, and IdeaSoft, presented their cybersecurity cases.

 

 

The goal was to exchange experience and promote ongoing cooperation in cybersecurity between the UK and Ukraine; initiatives and activities will continue as part of the UK-Ukraine TechBridge project.

 

 

In their opening speeches, Oleksandr Yarema, the State Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, and Oleksandr Bornyakov, the Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, addressed the establishment of Ukraine as a cyber brand and the role of cybersecurity in modern warfare.

 

 

The main topics of the roundtable included the most pressing issues challenging Ukraine and the world, such as:

• Securing safety zones: practical steps for effective protection of critical infrastructure and any industry.
• Disinformation as a new vector of cyber threats. How to defend against it?
• The digital front: how Ukrainian technologies can help change the global landscape of cybersecurity.
