IT-Enterprise ERP Changes the Pace of MilTech Production

IT-Enterprise ERP Changes the Pace of MilTech Production

Publication date:

  • 11.08.2026

Publication from:

IT-Enterprise

IT-Enterprise’s ERP platform is helping UAV and UGV manufacturers keep pace with the speed of change the front line demands.

IT-Enterprise’s digital production management platform for the MilTech sector is now in use at more than 50 defense enterprises across Ukraine, including manufacturers of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), and other types of defense equipment. The solution brings planning, engineering preparation, production, logistics, finance, and cost accounting together in a single digital environment that updates data in real time. Adopting ERP is becoming critical for the MilTech sector.

Challenges Manufacturers Face

Drone and UGV manufacturers face constant pressure to modernize their products, along with shortages of specific components and tight delivery deadlines. Scattered spreadsheets and local databases do not give a full picture of production, while coordinating design-change approvals between engineering and the shop floor delays the rollout of updated products into serial production. This is pushing manufacturers to move from piecemeal IT solutions toward unified digital platforms that bring engineering, production, logistics, and finance together.

Industry growth is making this need even more pressing. According to research by the KSE Institute, Brave1, and Defence Builder, Ukraine’s defense technology market reached $6.8 billion in 2025, with the UAV segment accounting for $6.3 billion. UAV production grew 137% year over year, UGV production grew 488%, and electronic warfare (EW) systems grew 215%.

What the Digital Platform Delivers for MilTech

Drone and UGV designs now change almost every week, and scattered Excel spreadsheets can no longer keep up with that pace. The platform covers four connected areas — from real-time production planning to AI-driven analytics.

Real-time production management. APS and MES modules provide operational planning that accounts for component availability, equipment load, and the priority of defense orders, allowing manufacturers to respond quickly to changes and minimize the risk of supply disruptions.

Fast engineering changes. Integration with CAD systems, technical documentation management, and automated engineering preparation cut the time between a design change and the launch of a new modification into production.

Digital traceability and quality control. The platform maintains a complete history of every product: components, suppliers, test results, modifications, and quality control at every stage of the product’s lifecycle.

AI and data-driven management. AI tools automate work with technical documentation, support equipment-failure forecasting, and enable production-scenario modeling, while BI analytics help manage cost, capacity, and order fulfillment in real time.

A drone that was effective a month ago may already be vulnerable today. The advantage goes to whoever reacts fastest to signals from the front and manages to update production accordingly. A digital management platform is now part of a country’s defense capability — it gives manufacturers a tool that plans production, controls quality, and forecasts risk in real time

– Oleg Shcherbatenko, IT-Enterprise founder and CEO, explains why digitalizing production has become critical right now.

By the Numbers

The track record of ERP deployments at MilTech enterprises shows that more than 95% of orders are delivered on time, the time to launch a new product into serial production drops by 46%, engineer productivity increases by roughly a third, and preparing regulatory and technical documentation speeds up by as much as 50%. In an industry where a week’s delay can mean a disrupted delivery to the front, this is no longer a matter of convenience — it is a matter of keeping the entire production process under control.
