Roboneers Upgrades "Lynx Pro" and "Lynx+" UGVs, Completes Codification of the "SabLynx K2" Combat Module

T Ukraine Association member company Roboneers has unveiled two updates for the Defence Forces at once — expanding the communication capabilities of its unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) and completing preparation of a combat module for serial delivery.

The company has added Wi-Fi connectivity to two of its UGVs — the “Lynx Pro” and “Lynx+”. The update was implemented at the request of military personnel for operation in areas where traditional communication channels are unavailable. If LTE or Starlink signals cannot be reached, the operator can now connect to the vehicle via a repeater and control it over Wi-Fi. To enable this, the platforms have been fitted with new antennas, with the channel offering a range of up to 60 metres. This complements the existing communication types already available on the “Lynx Pro” and “Lynx+” — a digital MESH network, Starlink, and LTE.

The “Lynx+” has also received a red spotlight, intended to make servicing the vehicle easier after dark without compromising its position in the way that white light would. This platform was unveiled in April — it is suited to logistics and evacuation tasks, has a range of up to 80 km, and can carry out one-way missions of up to 40 km without intermediate recharging. In May, the company also upgraded the “Lynx Pro”, extending its range to 40 km.

Separately, Roboneers has completed codification of its remotely operated “Sablynx K2” combat module — the turret is now ready for official delivery to the Defence Forces. The “Sablynx K2” was unveiled earlier this spring: it is fitted with two paired AK-74 assault rifles, capable of firing from both barrels simultaneously or independently. The module operates via cable or Starlink and can be powered by an integrated power source, an external battery, or directly from the UGV. This version is equipped with three cameras — a wide-angle daytime camera for reconnaissance, a narrow-angle daytime camera for precision fire, and a thermal imaging camera for night-time and low-visibility operations.

The “Sablynx” line currently comprises five modifications with different weapon configurations: alongside the “K2”, there are versions fitted with PKT, M240, Browning M2, Canik M2, and MG-50 QCB machine guns, as well as the “Sablynx MK19” modification, designed for 40 mm grenade launchers — the MK19 and AGL-53.

About the company
