FDI Ukraine became a new member company of the IT Ukraine Association

FDI Ukraine became a new member company of the IT Ukraine Association

IT Ukraine

The IT product company FDI Ukraine has joined the Association. There are nearly 100 developers in this company, and they create software products for a smart city. The company’s key product is Urbio™ — a united smart platform for city and community management. Using this platform, you can integrate an existing or new information system, including data integration as well. The Urbio™ platform has been tested successfully and has been operating in Kyiv for several years in a row now. However, it is suitable for the cities and towns regardless of its size thanks to the platform’s cloud architecture.

Apart from the platform, the company develops and implements other software products in Ukrainian cities and united local communities, such as Communities register, Addresses register, Register of community property, Register of architectural monuments, Resident account, Resident сard, Student сard, Suppliers register, etc. The primary FDI Ukraine registers have already been installed and are used in 50 united local communities, apart from Kyiv. In 2018, FDI Ukraine was selected on a competitive basis as the main IT expert of the project “E-solutions for communities”, which is carried out by the Center for Innovation Development with the support of “U-LEAD with Europe” Program.

In December 2019, the company’s software products and its infrastructure were awarded the status of High Security (8 out of 10 points) based on the results of an audit conducted by the Estonian cybersecurity company Hacken OÜ.

Today, the understanding of the smart city concept is unfairly simplified. People believe it is no more than “smart lights”, “smart benches”, actual public transport, but all these IoT solutions are the smallest part of the whole system. Smart city solutions should be built from the ground up on one unified platform. All the other information systems will be built on this single foundation, created by our company. What are its benefits? First, all data is integrated and connected, shared by all systems and programs. There is no such data fragmentation problem, when programs have completely different information about the same person, city object, address, etc. Second, in addition to integrating new and existing programs, this platform checks out, sorts, and validates data, which is a mandatory step in the data analysis process. Our main goal, which we strive to achieve with these products, is to provide our cities and united local communities with convenient IT tools for smart city development, as well as to provide them with a valid and verified data for city management decisions. Decisions, that are based on data, not on a wild guess, —
— Mykola Kozlov, CEO, FDI Ukraine.
