ITU Member Intellias has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the charitable foundation Vesta. The partnership launches a new internal initiative at the company – the Family Resilience Community. Its goal is to strengthen support for Intellias specialists whose family members or close friends are serving in Ukraine’s Defense Forces, are veterans, or have been affected by the war – including those missing, taken prisoner, or killed.
To launch the initiative, Intellias is drawing on the experience and expertise of the Vesta Foundation, which has been actively working in the field of veteran affairs since 2018 and developing systemic solutions to improve the well-being of veterans and their close ones.
The Family Resilience Community is a new part of Intellias’ broader veteran support program. The community will offer participants a safe space for peer support, open conversation, shared experiences, and access to knowledge and practices that help cope with the challenges of war.
Supporting the families and loved ones of military is a key element of Intellias’ veteran policy. For us, it’s important that this support is reflected in real actions. I believe the Family Resilience Community will offer our colleagues support, connection, and a safe environment to share what are often very difficult experiences. Our partnership with Vesta will help us better understand the needs of military families and build a truly effective support system.
— Roman Hapachylo, VP Talent Management, Intellias
The format includes regular expert-led meetings, group sessions, educational webinars, and discussions focused on emotional resilience and the reintegration of service members into civilian life. Vesta will support the initiative by involving professional psychologists, facilitators, and trainers specialising in crisis communication and mental health.
As a society, we must already begin preparing for the fact that there will be tens of thousands of veterans in Ukraine, and we need to support them as well as create opportunities for them. Supporting service members and their families is a key part of corporate social responsibility. It sends a powerful message to those protecting us: we see and value your efforts. That’s why partnerships like this matter — they offer a sense of home front support and set an example for other companies.
— Bohdana Levytska, Head of the Vesta Foundation
The Family Resilience Community has already held its first session. During the webinar “The Language of Care: How to Support Military Personnel and Veterans,” Vesta psychologists shared tools for healthy communication with those who have experienced the frontlines or live in the immediate context of war. They also explored ways to strengthen personal resilience.
Supporting the reintegration and adaptation of veterans is one of Intellias’ top priorities. The company has already implemented a number of initiatives as part of its veteran support policy:
We are proud that the member companies of the IT Ukraine Association are not only developing Ukraine’s technological sector but also demonstrating a high level of social responsibility. The Family Resilience Community initiative by Intellias is an example of the business’s conscious stance during the war — supporting colleagues whose family members are military personnel or veterans, helping defenders adapt to civilian life, and making an important contribution to building a resilient and caring society,
— said Maria Shevchuk, Executive Director of the IT Ukraine Association.
Intellias also supports military families through a range of initiatives, including special events and excursions for children of service members in partnership with Science Kids and Superhumans Center. Additionally, the company runs projects aimed at fostering a culture of remembrance and honoring those who have served within the corporate environment.
