Representatives of the ITU FinTech Committee discussed the state of local-market financial technologies and trends in the vertical in Ukraine and globally during the “FinTech. Trends in FinTech” discussion at the Mind WinTech Summit 2025.

The discussion was moderated by Irina Bilyayeva, Managing Partner of the Juscutum Law Firm. Julia Fedosyuk, CEO of ITU Member UAPAY, emphasised that the war has somewhat slowed down the development of financial companies, but after victory, the market will witness a boom in new financial products.

Our shareholders have a global project related to card issuance and transfers. This can be launched because there are many countries where quality banking services are still unavailable. Digital cards and neobanks are a product where Ukrainians have great opportunities. Apart from Revolut and Wirex, there are no major competitors in this segment,

— added Julia Fedosyuk, CEO of ITU Member UAPAY and the driving force behind the ITU FinTech Committee.

Oleksandr Lapko, CEO of ITU Member RozetkaPay, highlighted the importance of integrating finances and creating synthetic user profiles to improve services and combat fraud.

The future lies in integrated finances and synthetic user profiles. They will not only improve service quality but will also become the key to fighting fraud,

— emphasised Oleksandr Lapko, CEO of RozetkaPay.

During his speech at the Mind WinTech Summit 2025, Ihor Markevych, Head of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) Hub in Ukraine, stressed that EIT supports projects in nine key areas: from climate, culture, and creativity, to digitalisation, Future Food (agriculture and food products), healthcare innovations, energy, critical raw materials, value-added manufacturing, and urban mobility.

Ukraine is a priority for EIT and already has access to programs aimed at supporting the country, particularly through the EIT Jumpstarter initiative. One of the categories, Rebuild Ukraine, provides an opportunity to receive $10,000 for projects aimed at rebuilding Ukraine. It is targeted at scientists, students, and startups with innovative ideas. EIT is among the top five most effective investors in the world and provides access to support through a network of 2,500 partners, ensuring entry into the European market, grants, and investments for Ukrainian entrepreneurs.

The Mind WinTech Summit 2025 was organised by the business publication Mind with the support of the IT Ukraine Association.
