The second regular meeting organized by the IT Ukraine Association with the participation of Mykhailo Fedorov, Vice Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology Development, Minister of Digital Transformation, and representatives of regional IT clusters and associations.
One of the biggest requests from businesses was the digitization of the employee booking process. This service has been successfully operating on the Diia portal for almost a week, during which over 34,000 employees have been booked by managers. The service functions quickly, conveniently, and transparently, with decisions taking about an hour. Companies submit applications for employee bookings and receive a response separately for each employee. This service eliminates paperwork and unnecessary bureaucracy.
Another focus of the meeting was technological warfare and the involvement of the IT sector in the innovation development. The IT community is actively helping to meet the needs of the frontline with their donations. However, an important task now is to create defensive technologies that will be an asymmetrical response to the enemy. This can only be achieved through the cooperation of the military and the technology sector.
Additionally, the transformation of education was discussed. In particular, the launch of the “Mriya” project, which will take place this fall, the creation of supervisory boards at universities, a new system of state grants, and the development of the New Ukrainian School (NUS). Businesses are ready to actively contribute to the transformation of the education sector, as their scaling and development depend on human capital.
Upcoming plans for the development of Diia.City include expanding the range of qualified activities for bionic prosthetics manufacturers. Currently, nearly 1,200 companies operate in Diia.City, employing about 75,000 specialists.
Continuous communication with the IT community is crucial, as it is one of the main sectors of the country’s economy. The share of IT in the structure of service exports remains the largest at 41%. One IT specialist creates and sustains almost three jobs in the economy.
Creating the best conditions for the development of technology business is a strategic focus for the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
