The Aurora multimarket chain has donated UAH 1.5 million in financial aid to the Dignitas Charity Fund. This contribution supports the ‘Anti-Shahed Frontier’ project, implemented in partnership with the ‘Bureviy’ air defence unit of the National Guard of Ukraine.
Aurora is a group of companies backed by direct foreign investment from Horizon Capital. It is a rapidly growing retail leader, operating over 1,700 ‘Aurora’ stores across Ukraine and more than 60 ‘Aurora’ locations in Romania.
The Aurora network is helping build a defense system that saves lives within the regions of its presence. The ‘Anti-Shahed Frontier’ project aims to provide a systemic response to strike drone attacks and enhance the security of Ukrainian cities. The initiative’s goal is to establish a defense network capable of intercepting enemy strike drones on their approach to residential areas and critical infrastructure.
The Anti-Shahed Frontier is a system that only works when every element reinforces the others. By supporting this project, communities and businesses aren’t just donating—they are effectively becoming part of this defense network. Their contributions translate directly into trained crews, interceptors, and technical equipment that reduce the number of strikes on Ukrainian cities every day. This is a partnership where every participant makes the system stronger
comments Liuba Shipovych, Director of the Dignitas Fund
As part of the ‘Anti-Shahed Frontier’ project, military and civilian personnel undergo training in the use of interceptor drones, while defense units receive the necessary equipment for effective operations.
Russian drones pose a threat to both rear-area cities and military personnel on the front lines. Every month, this threat only grows as the enemy scales its capabilities and refuses to stand still. In essence, it is currently impossible to fully control the sky, but it is within our power to increase our capacity to protect Ukrainians from aerial threats. Every hryvnia contributed to air defense by citizens, funds, and businesses represents lives saved. The more strength and resources we have, the more families will be able to sleep more soundly at night

The Aurora network systematically supports the Defense Forces and volunteer initiatives. Participation in the “Anti-Shahed Frontier” project is a logical continuation of the company’s strategy, which prioritizes the safety of citizens living under the constant threat of aerial attacks and in daily need of additional protection.
For us at Aurora, it is vital to support those who protect Ukraine every day—by holding back the enemy at the front and repelling aerial attacks in the rear. This is our investment in people’s safety, peaceful cities, and our future
noted Aliona Zhyhura, Head of the CSR Department at the Aurora multimarket chain
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the total amount of charitable aid provided by the Aurora network has reached UAH 729 million. Supporting the ‘Anti-Shahed Frontier’ project is yet another contribution by Aurora toward supporting the Defense Forces of Ukraine and enhancing the security of its citizens.
