Transport in the city: free online showing of short films

Transport in the city: free online showing of short films

Publication date:

Publication from:

Intellias

Urban Mobility Shorts short films will be screened in Ukraine on July 19-25. The selection of films is prepared by the film agency Wiz-Art with the support of the IT company Intellias. Anyone will be able to watch movies online and for free by registering in advance (https://ecomobility-summer.intellias.ua/movie).

The screening program includes French, Swiss, German, and American films about bicycles and their varieties, transportation systems, and features of public transport.

City jungles are the place where modern people become themselves. Concrete mazes where individuals form. Each city is a unique organism with transport being the blood in its veins, making it alive, filling it with movement. But what role do we play as cities’ inhabitants? Who do we become, and how does our thinking change when we choose one or another way to move around? The new transport revolution is around the corner! Urban Mobility Shorts is a small journey across the world’s cities that opens a new perspective on the organization of urban spaces and movement within them.

This screening is part of a larger project Ecomobility Summer at Intellias, which the company is conducting to spread cycling in the cities of Ukraine. There was an online cycling school and corporate bike trips already. More than a hundred specialists of the company have joined the #IntelliBike flash mob. In addition, 5 company ambassadors in 5 Ukrainian cities accepted the challenge to use a bicycle as the main mode of transport throughout the summer. They share their progress on social networks.

The approach to transport is changing. Increasingly popular are the concepts of Use it, don’t own it (UDO) and so-called shared mobility, which is based on the need to get from point A to point B, rather than the desire to own multiple vehicles. Therefore, the concept of eco-mobility covers not only transport but also our behavior, habits, culture. We want more people to think about eco-mobility, so we invite everyone to join, watch movies with Intellias, rethink the usual, and use bicycles more,
— said Mykhailo Puzrakov, Executive Chairman & COO of the company.
Viewers who watch Urban Mobility Shorts and share their impressions on social media have the opportunity to win themed bike gifts.
