The ITU reported on the results of work in the first half of 2023. The general meeting of the members of the IT Ukraine Association took place online on July 27.
The Association is constantly growing – the number of participants increased by 17% in six months. We are joined by companies that feel the benefit for business development from participating in a national association with a strong international vector.
Konstantin Vasyuk, Executive Director of IT Ukraine, noted that the Association made a lot of effort to strengthen Ukraine’s position in the global IT arena over the past six months. Today, the Association is being chosen as a reliable partner in international projects. This is a new outlook by international business in the Ukrainian tech industry and new opportunities for companies with development centres in Ukraine.
During these six months, the ITU not only was constantly working to strengthen the IT industry and protect the business interests of members, but also implemented many important projects in various directions: GR, International, Education, CSR, PR and communication.
Olena Samborska, President of the IT Ukraine Association, Managing Director/HRD of Luxoft Ukraine noted that the team working on the projects was very professional and extended her gratitude to them for their contribution to the development of the IT Association and the industry as a whole.
We managed to do a lot, achieve a lot, and also realise what needs to be changed in the way the Association operates, how to ensure the growth and authority of the Association as a powerful tech community in Ukraine. Together, we have done a lot, but we do not plan to stop here – there are still many interesting challenges and tasks facing our industry,
Olena Samborska added.
Since the beginning of the war, our industry has changed a lot. Every month, every week and every day brings new challenges. Ukraine and the Ukrainian IT industry have proven their resilience and business ability to work in the difficult conditions of war. But the present time needs new meanings. Influential Independent. International. This is how I see the IT Ukraine Association, and this is exactly the kind of organisation we are building and developing,
Kostyantyn Vasyuk said.
The ITU currently has 22 partners and 11 active partner programs on the international market. The Association also presented the Ukrainian IT industry at 23 international events. More than 750 draft bills and more than 500 decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, which affect the IT business, were analysed during the period of six months. More than 40 companies have joined ITU’s Educational@CSR Community since the beginning of the year. Together with partners, the Association produced 30 successful “Frankly about IT” podcasts. Overall, the ITU holds a commanding presence in the information space concerning the issues and advancements within the IT industry, capturing the attention of 77% of the audience directly focused on the Association itself.
The invited speakers shared their experiences of working with the Association and the ideas regarding the development of the national industrial association:
ITU members approved the inclusion of new valid companies and associated members into the Association. Join the ITU and develop together with us the most global and dynamic industry of Ukraine!
