The Ukrainian delegation successfully participated in TechArena 2026 in Stockholm within the framework of the TechStep Sweden programme, strengthening cooperation between Ukrainian IT companies and the Nordic innovation ecosystem.

One of the key milestones was the graduation ceremony of the 2025/2026 programme participants: Gart Solutions, Lionwood Software, SoloWay Technologies, Acropolium, CIGen, Geniusee, PETTERSONAPPS, FS Group Development, HBM, VRNET.IO.

The ceremony was attended by Dmytro Gusiev, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Ukraine in Sweden, and Viorel Ursu, Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the Kingdom of Sweden. Awards were presented by Anders Ahnlid, Director-General of the Swedish National Board of Trade.

During International Delegation Day, Ukrainian companies joined the high-level panel discussion “The Nordics: Global Innovation and Growth Region”, featuring Tale Kandal, Minister Counsellor at the Royal Norwegian Embassy to Sweden, Morten Friis Moller, Counsellor for Digitalisation at the Danish Embassy to Sweden, Petri Peltonen, Under Secretary of State at the Finnish Ministry of Employment and the Economy, Agúst Sigurðarson, Head of Export at Business Iceland, and Jaani Heinonen, Head of Invest at Business Sweden. The discussion focused on innovation trends, growth dynamics and regional collaboration opportunities.

The programme also included intensive capacity-building activities: pitch training focused on investment readiness led by Jenny Lindblad; sales training on networking and first-contact strategies and sales training on first calls, structured follow-ups and first meeting techniques delivered by Joakim Turesson. Active sector expertise was provided by Love Diger, serial entrepreneur and CEO & Founder of Stockholm Fintech Week, and Johannes Walfridsson, consultant and business coach with extensive experience in the Swedish healthtech market.

A significant achievement for the delegation was the selection of LifesaverSIM among the TechArena TOP46 finalists, gaining international media exposure, investor introductions and the opportunity to pitch on one of Scandinavia’s largest stages.

Throughout TechArena 2026, Ukrainian companies participated as part of a collective national presence, strengthening international visibility, deepening dialogue with Nordic stakeholders, and further positioning Ukraine as a strong and reliable technology partner.

Another important highlight was the TechStep Sweden Lunch Seminar “Fast-Track Innovation: Why Ukraine Is Sweden’s Go-To Tech Partner”, featuring Mathias Eklöf, investor and representative of Hype Ventures, Seca Digital Marketing AB and ProveOn AB, together with Taras Tymoshchuk, CEO & Founder of Geniusee, and Maryna Shuliak, CBDO of Acropolium. The discussion focused on successful cross-border partnerships and the growing role of Ukrainian tech companies in the Nordic market.

Results of the week:

  • Over 230 B2B meetings were held with start-ups, Big Tech companies and technology partners;
  • The geography of contacts covered Sweden, Finland, the United Kingdom, Germany, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Spain, the Netherlands, Estonia, Switzerland, the United States and Luxembourg;
  • Agreements were reached on follow-up meetings and further co-operation.

TechStep Sweden program is organised by Open Trade Gate Sweden, the State Institution Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office, the national project Diia.Business and the IT Ukraine Association.
