Sumy State University (SSU) has signed a cooperation agreement with GlobalLogic — an international IT company that is a part of the Hitachi group. Joint activities of the university and the company will be launched this academic year. More than 2,500 students studying in technical specialities will be able to join them.
Due to the cooperation, SSU students will be able to improve their practical IT skills, get acquainted with the project specifics of the IT industry and obtain the basis for further employment in the field of technology and innovation already during the studying.
Cooperation with potential employers is an important condition for ensuring a full educational process in preparation of any training option specialists. Having regard to the wide range of IT programs at Sumy State University, integration with one of the leaders in digital product development in the world – GlobalLogic – has great potential and will expand the opportunities of our students to study, practice and build a decent career in the IT-field. SSU has extensive experience of successful cooperation with leading national and international IT-companies, world-famous software and electronics manufacturers. I believe in the effective partnership with GlobalLogic, implementation of joint promising innovative projects, – said the first vice-rector of SSU Serhiy Leonov.As part of the partnership program, GlobalLogic representatives will participate in master classes, trainings and research work of the university. The company experts will help the institution to modernize curricula, as well as students to get relevant and in-demand practical skills. SSU became the first university in Sumy to support the GlobalLogic Education initiative. This is the 4th regional university partner of the company. The universities of Dnipro, Vinnytsia and Odesa also joined this initiative. In total, there are already 23 universities in Ukraine in 7 cities of the country that are partners of GlobalLogic Education.
