LVIV, Ukraine (August 16, 2023) – Today, SoftServe’s charity fund Open Eyes handed over the first batch of ambulances to the military as part of a new project the company announced on its 30th anniversary. As part of the Drive for Life: +100 ambulances project, Open Eyes plans to purchase, equip and deliver 100 additional ambulances to the front line. The first 10 vehicles were handed over to four military battalions today with the participation of the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Maksym Kozytskyy. The vehicles will go to save the lives of soldiers in the Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk sectors.

We have dedicated this transfer of ambulances to the 30th anniversary of the company’s foundation and allocated UAH 45 million to purchase the first vehicles. Our goal is to buy 100 ambulances that will be fully equipped with everything necessary. We are pleased to contribute in this way to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who are bringing our victory closer,

said Yaroslav Lyubinets, co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors, SoftServe.

The first vehicle of the project has already been handed over to the Azov Brigade, and three of the ten vehicles will go to the front line today. One of the recipients of the vehicles is the 78th Regiment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, “Hertz”.

I cannot say that people have forgotten about the war. I am proud that there is a conscious business in Ukraine that helps military medics. Two vehicles from the Open Eyes Fund are already working at the front line and helping our guys and girls. These vehicles are designed for the second stage of evacuation to hospitals and staging areas. The vehicles have equipment to stabilize the wounded and vacuum mattresses, which are extremely important to minimize damage to injured soldiers. I am grateful for what the charity fund has been doing for our country for years,

said the deputy commander of the 78th Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, call sign Desna.

The ambulances are fully equipped with the necessary medical equipment—defibrillators, oxygen concentrators, infusion pumps, and ventilators. This time, the fund invites everyone to join the fundraising of equipment for ambulances to provide the military not only with transport but also with tools to save lives. To make a donation to the Drive for Life: +100 Ambulances project, please follow this link.

Every news from our military that, thanks to the work of medics on our vehicles, someone’s life was saved is worth all the efforts we make to implement all our projects. The next batch of vehicles is already in Ukraine, and preparatory repairs and repainting in the appropriate color are underway. We approved all the models of these vehicles with our military, who told us what exactly they needed and in what configuration,

said Hanna Osadchuk, program coordinator of the Open Eyes charity foundation.

In addition, during the period of the full-scale invasion, the fund purchased and delivered 123 vehicles to Ukraine, including ambulances and vehicles for medical evacuation of the wounded worth UAH 60 million. According to medical and military personnel who have received the vehicles, these ambulances have already saved more than 5,000 lives.

In total, SoftServe has allocated UAH 650 million to help Ukraine during the war and has been included in several ratings of the largest philanthropists among Ukrainian businesses.
