IT Ukraine Association member Ciklum has received a prestigious award from the Global Sourcing Association UK (GSA). The innovative B2B marketplace, developed for METRO, one of the world’s largest retail operators, was named the Retail Project of the Year for 2021.
For the 18th year in a row, the Global Sourcing Association has been awarding IT companies and projects that have demonstrated the best strategic decisions in the industry. Ciklum was awarded for the marketplace created for the METRO subsidiary, METRO Markets. The new Marketplace platform has crucially enabled METRO to tap into new sales potential amongst the hotel, restaurant, and catering (HoReCa) trade. The Marketplace online store enables hospitality and restaurant traders to shop for non-food-related items for their business. The website offers thousands of products to choose from, some of which are METRO’s own branded products, others are sold by partner vendors.
