During IT Arena 2019 Intellias engineers presented the automatic Walker RoadSafe system, which tracks the trajectory and speed of the vehicle and pedestrians to predict their location.
27 September 2019, Lviv – Intellias has introduced a solution that allows to define the risk of pedestrian-vehicle collision. A solution called Walker RoadSafe uses machine recognition algorithms to determine and predict the activity of pedestrians and other road users. The project has been presented at IT Arena 2019.
The main goal of the solution is to predict dangerous situations on the road. To enable this, the system is trained to recognize pedestrians and to analyze their movements towards traffic to make smart driving decisions. Walker RoadSafe monitors the trajectory and speed of the vehicle and pedestrians to forecast pedestrians’ locations in 2 seconds thus calculating the probability of a collision. Based on these calculations, the system can set a signal to the vehicle to slow down. Depending on the level of autonomy, the system can either alert the driver or make the decision itself.
.

The large-scale implementation of such solutions in the automotive industry has its difficulties: insufficiency of data, data processing and using it for machine learning. According to the developers, the Walker RoadSafe model is optimized for the automotive industry and designed to address these difficulties.
Intellias specializes in custom software development with a special focus on the automotive industry. The Walker RoadSafe project allows us to demonstrate the capabilities of our engineers to potential customers. We are pleased to introduce this solution at IT Arena and share our knowledge and experience in our key area. Computer security based on computer science and machine learning is one of the main components of our expertise – says Vitaly Sedler, CEO IntelliasAbout Intellias Intellias is one of the biggest IT companies in Ukraine founded in Lviv in 2002.
