Intellias and Quantum-Systems have enhanced the Vector UAVs

Intellias and Quantum-Systems have enhanced the Vector UAVs

Ukrainian military forces have received 15 upgraded Vector reconnaissance drones, which are already performing missions on the front lines. Through cooperation between the IT company Intellias and the German manufacturer Quantum-Systems, the drones have been equipped with special antennas that are resistant to GNSS interference, enhancing their effectiveness in conditions of satellite signal jamming.

In August, Intellias and Quantum-Systems announced their collaboration, within which nearly UAH 4 million was invested in the production of special antennas in Ukraine. These antennas were installed on 15 Vector UAVs, which are now being used at the front for reconnaissance tasks.

The performance of the upgraded Vector drones on the battlefield is the best confirmation of the value of our collaboration with Quantum-Systems. By joining forces, we have not only strengthened our defenders but also supported a Ukrainian manufacturer. It’s crucial for responsible businesses to unite now so that our defenders in the most challenging areas feel our support and engagement,

said Vitaly Sedler, CEO and co-founder of Intellias.

The Vector UAV, weighing 8.5 kg with a wingspan of 2.8 meters, can remain airborne for up to three hours. Thanks to the new antennas, they can operate more effectively in conditions of satellite navigation interference and detect the enemy at distances of up to 40 km.

Pilots note several advantages of the drones, including vertical takeoff, no need for additional launch equipment, and a quiet mode of operation at low altitudes. Additionally, the powerful radio antenna ensures stable communication over long distances, and the camera allows switching between digital and thermal imaging modes regardless of the time of day.

Dmytro Gorlin, CTO of Quantum-Systems, emphasized the importance of the joint project in strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities and supporting Ukrainian production. The antennas, produced in Ukraine, help the drones operate in difficult conditions and ensure accurate coordinates even when GPS is jammed.

Intellias has been supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. The total amount of aid has exceeded UAH 100 million, including funding drones for charitable foundations and purchasing military equipment for the front lines.

The Armed Forces have already received a batch of 15 improved Vector reconnaissance drones. Today, they are carrying out important missions on the front lines. Thanks to the cooperation between Intellias and Quantum-Systems, the technical characteristics of these drones have been significantly improved. In particular, their resistance to interference in global satellite navigation has been enhanced.
