GlobalLogic engineers have developed the SDV Cloud Framework test platform for Hitachi Astemo, a joint venture between Hitachi and Honda Motor. The development of Ukrainian specialists will help create the cars of the future.
Hitachi Astemo has selected and is testing an innovative development by Ukrainian engineers for a new generation of cars. The first step is to integrate the driver assistance system. In general, the project involves the integration of the SDV Cloud Framework into the processes of creating and testing various car software.
An SDV, or Software-Defined Vehicle, is a car whose functionality will be expanded through software updates. This is necessary to continuously improve the driver’s experience.
SDV technologies are already being declared as the “future industrial evolution” that will set the standards for the automotive industry over the next decade. The market for SDV suppliers is expected to double by 2030 (from $236 billion to $411 billion). The SDV Cloud Framework, developed by Ukrainian engineers at GlobalLogic, is currently one of only five ready-made solutions in the world.

This increase in efficiency is a game changer, accelerating the development and testing of software solutions in the automotive industry.
The Ukrainian development also enables the creation of a digital twin of a car or its parts in the cloud. This approach facilitates the creation of complex test models and allows software components to be tested independently of the hardware. In particular, it is expected that testing in the cloud will make it possible to detect more than 90% of software defects. This will significantly increase the speed and efficiency of test phases and provide engineers with immediate feedback.
